I'm pretty sure that nothing will ever oust "Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer" from it's spot as my most hated Christmas song ever. Ugh! Not for me. The Christmas Shoes is the one that grates on my nerves! I have to change the station every time it comes on because I hate it so much. ETA: Ha ha, should have read all the way to the end of the thread, I could have just liked Dalai Mama 's post!

That's in the number 2 spot. They are the only two Christmas songs I turn off if I hear them start on the radio. Even by the end of the month when I've already heard some songs 5,683 times, I still let them play. But those two are the songs that must not be heard. Save

It's a song that needs to be taken in historical social context. I get what you're saying, but I still laugh uncomfortably at that part because creepy comes to mind first. Kind of like the song posted below. You're right Christmas Shoes is worse!

That reminds me of to sir with love. Fun oldies but weird lyrics for sure.
