I desperately need your help! I went to cut a design that I bought in the Silhouette Store last night and for 2 hours I couldn't get the new design to show up in my library. The cloud wouldn't/won't sync for anything on my laptop or on Silhouette Mobile. I feel like I tried everything to get it to work and I may lose my mind!
When I try to sign in on my laptop it says 'authenticating ' forever and then does nothing. In my mobile app, when I try to download ANY design it says 'download failed'.
Anyone have any ideas?

Sorry, no ideas - I don't use the cloud to store my cut files. But my usual sources of advice/support are the Clever Someday blog cleversomeday.com/ Terri Johnson terrijohnsoncreates.com/ and Silhouette School www.silhouetteschoolblog.com/ But I share your frustration nicolep - when it works it's such a clever beast, but when it doesn't, I could kick it!! (and so unfair when you've been so generous in sharing all those links this week!! Where's the karma when you need it!?)

Tomorrow is the last day of the sale, and I can't do anything on the site right now. It stalls out, has scripting issues or crashes. I'm guessing they're having a traffic issue? Maybe it's affecting their downloads, too.

I am so glad I am not the only one. I was beginning to think I had a virus in the software. Nicole, I am having the same issues (sort of). I downloaded the free cut files from Silhouette and I can't figure out how to get them to download. I just last week upgraded to the new version of their software. There is not a spot under file at the top that says "Download Pending Orders". It was there with the old software. Then I updated my library and now I have like 4 copies of each "cut". I tried calling their customer service last week and gave up after being on hold for 40 minutes.

I hate the cloud! I wish I had never upgraded! I had exactly the same issue.

My problem completely fixed itself. I'm 99% sure it was because of the sale and the site being bombarded. You'd think they would have anticipated the site traffic?

How frustrating. I've never upgraded to the cloud version and think I'll just ignore it SaveSaveETA I had terrible problems with the store over the weekend. I got an email from them yesterday in answer to mine saying that the store was down due to a high volume of traffic.

I don't even attempt to download my designs until a few days after it ends. Glad you're good now, though!

Finally at 10 last night I got a response. I will try this morning what they are recommending. I thought the JustNick downloads had worked, but I just discovered they didn't. It all has to be related. I think this has to be cloud related.

So my issue was that I had not registered for the cloud. Once I did that and synced everything, all the purchases/freebies came through. Now I have to go back and delete my duplicate copies from me trying to update the library.

Been there done that! It took me weeks to figure it out. You have to erase the program in a file and then add it back. I didn't save all of the steps, but CS emailed me several times to get me through it. Each time I tried, it would add about 50 files and I ended up doing it at least a dozen times. I also lost all of my files that weren't Silhouette. I have since learned to save things to a flash drive! Good luck!

How long did your system try to authenticate before it worked? does it just take a long time, if you have a lot of files?

But I had a lot of files and now it's almost instant, even when I buy a bunch of files for a sale. There has been at least 2 software updates since this thread, so any info here--both software and the sale--are outdated. Silhouette has great customer support if you ever get stuck, but I've had great luck Googling a problem, too.

Before anyone updates to the newer versions of software that use the Cloud, it's a good idea to back up your entire library, just in case the Cloud has issues. I have not yet updated. Not sure I want to until the bugs are worked out of the newest update. However, the new update does have some wonderful features.

Not sure I want to until the bugs are worked out of the newest update. However, the new update does have some wonderful features. Do your back up today! The 4.0 software is really great. A bit of a learning curve to find where everything is, but it's pretty intuitive. Lots of things we could do before are now done with the click of a button. I love that they new software has these windows that open up and can be moved around the design space. So you don't need to continually go back to the top or the bottom, but right there where you are designing. And then there are the features that significantly increase .svg ease of use. It's a game changer for many. I need to update to the newest software--I wanted to wait a few weeks for the bugs to get worked out. I hear that glyphs are now easier than ever to use and I have a design that is glyph heavy.
