The LIKE button! Of course, there are a lot of awesome things about the new site, but I gotta wonder, why there was never a "like" button on 2Ps? Do you agree? Do you use it? And of course, what else do you find awesome about 2Ps Refugees in general?

And of course, what else do you find awesome about 2Ps Refugees in general? I love when someone quotes you it shows in your notifications so you don't miss it. I also like the "like" button because I don't always post a response but I like to show I read it and I agree.
I think I will also like the tag button (now that I know about it).
I think the FPM has done an amazing job with the new board. It is so much easier to read and post then the old one.

I like this board so much better than the old one. Everyday I learn something new to do. Yesterday, it was tagging people. Love it! Thanks admin for doing such a great job!

I love the "like" button which is one of the reasons why my post count is still so low. I find that usually another pea has said the exact thing that I would have said so I just click that convenient little thumbs-up. It's great!

I missed the thread about tagging people. How do you do it?

I love the 'like' button and certainly do use it but I wonder if it's counterproductive to the newer, shyer peas......is it easier to click 'like' and not conquer the fear of joining in? Or does it ease you in, make you feel at home until you're happy to post? I love pretty much everything about it here..........I am only a member on one other forum so I didn't realise how good it could be and what we were missing out on at 2Peas. Thanks Admin.

I always thought a like button at 2Peas would have decreased the number of comments and conversation -- because I think like buttons in other social forums has had that effect. But, I've really grown to love and heavily employ the like button here. And it doesn't stop me from saying something I would have said, I use it as a way to indicate agreement/support/appreciation for a post that I don't want to quote and reply to, just to say "yes, I agree".

stefdesign if you click on the reply button (not quickreply) there is a little button with a @ and a person in a blue shirt in it. Click on that and pick out the persons user name. It will tag them so they see the post.

I like the notifications, too. I am fairly new so didn't even notice the like button- but I will use it now! I like the sub-categories on different boards. Thank you Admin!

I like the like button. I'm still too timid to try a lot of the different features.

I feel as Ashley does. If a thread interests me, I will likely say something, but then I also will like a few or several posts, too. I never would have taken the time and thread space to quote all of those people just to say "Ditto", particularly on long threads, but now I have a way of saying "Hey,refupea! Saw your post! I get it. I agree. I support you. I feel the same."

In regards to lurkers, I wonder if the like button may eventually help some people feel like posting more often. If they do post on occasion, and they receive a like here or there, it may be encouraging to them.

When I receive a notification that someone has liked my post (and thus shares my feelings about something) I'm more likely to participate.

I know before I would read a post and if someone already answered it or said what I would have I just moved on. Now I like it so you can see it was read and responded to in some way.

The only bad thing about the like button is that it's difficult to know if I clicked it or not. Sometimes I end up clicking three or four times. Do multiple like from the same person show up in the notifications?

Do multiple like from the same person show up in the notifications? As far as I know they do not. There have been times when I double clicked by mistake and therefore liked and un-liked a post. Then I would notice and re-like the post. Whew! But despite the higher than probably normal amount of times I have made that error, no one has ever said to me "Melanell, what the heck, woman?" And I have never noticed anything like that in my own notifications, either. So I just figure the board is smarter than I am about the whole thing.

I LIKE the like button!
I use it like crazy. Makes it so much easier to get the point across than having to quote every single post agree with.

Do multiple like from the same person show up in the notifications? As Melanell said, if you like then click it again, it un likes, sort of on/off. Also you can see 'X liked this, written on the left above the post after you have clicked.

Do multiple like from the same person show up in the notifications? I've got a bad clicker. My mouse is screwy. It often gives multiple clicks with one push. So annoying. If you watch the top of the post that you are liking, you will see either your name pop up when you've liked the post, or the number of people liking the post will increase. If you click like again, your name will disappear or the number will decrease. Click again, and there you are again!
