Welcome to 2017!
Use the below list to inspire your project. You can use one, some or all the prompts on the list. Substitutions are welcome and encouraged.
• something floral • something with stripes • an unloved tool • ink/mist/paints • the last of something • your handwriting
All types of projects count (paper, digi, hybrid, PL, art journaling, anything else you create) and if you share your projects online please link them here so we can admire and leave some love. You can find instructions to post in the Refupeas gallery in this thread but shout out if you need help.
I hope you find time to play along and I can't wait to see what everyone creates.

I made a title page for an album and used a scrap of striped paper inspired by this challenge - I'm not good at mixing patterns but the colours in the stripes worked well with the colours in the word art patterned paper I was using so...I went for it.

I seem to HAVE.a bunch of florals and stripes in my stash. Just don't USE them very often. Should keep this challenge in mind now that I am going through a pile of neglected photos from last summer.

Here is mine: Dig It!!! by Gramma Dee, on Flickr The stripes & floral pp is SS "Bloom & Grow". The unloved tool is my MS leafy border punch. Not sure how you meant unloved, but I can interpret it two ways: (1)it has not been used for awhile, and (2)now that I used it again, I realize why: the cut pieces stick inside the punch and it is really hard to pull out a long border. Paints/inks: I used Nuvo drops to paint details on the brad buddy pail, and I used CTMH ink on the punched leaves I stapled on at the right. That edged Bazzill cs is the last of those from my stash. Thanks for the challenge, Karen! Journaling is handwritten.

I'm trying to use up some of my 6x6 paper. I have quite a bit for something I don't usually buy! This layout uses some of the 6x6 paper as well as stripes, ink, and my own handwriting. I've included more pictures on my blog if you'd like to see. What A "Pear"!

Very cute lilacgal. I love how you split the 6x6" pp to make a strip. Also love all the little extras (veneer & tags) and how you used the twine!

grammadee I love your title. And, the pail is adorable. lilacgal I forget to use my 6x6 pads unless I am die cutting or someone challenges me, so good job! I really like your layout, especially the way you left some blank space on the page.

Another page from that same strawberry picking trip. My handwriting is on the page as is floral paper. The floral paper was my inspiration for the color combo of purple and orange and I covered it up as my photo mat! Oops! You can see some sticking out as a tab next to the title too. I've also got strips in here as well. Something unloved was my forgotten box of Stickles. I love glitter so I'm trying to use those on more layouts in the same way I'd use enamal dots.

I love all those tilted stacked matts, lilacgal! Great that you got to play with something you haven't used for awhile!

lilacgal what great layouts! I love the colours of the 2nd one. That's the kind of colour scheme we need in some new collections...instead of all the pink and pastel!

lilacgal I love how your layout draws our attention to the photo. My pet peeve are layouts where I can't see the photo! Great job. BTW - I have that background paper, so I may have to lift your layout to use it.

I think that's one of the best compliments I've ever received!

Here's one from me using stripes, something floral, and the last of something (that Heidi Swapp thin brown paper tape - I've had it forever but will miss it, it's the perfect width).

Love your page, Chinagirl828! That layered title is so dynamic with the huge cork numbers and the smaller word on top. Love the birdie perched on the number!

Great layout Chinagirl828. I love that you used the diagonal stripe. I never use that side of my papers. I never get it to look right. I also love the little bird and giant numbers!

Karen, I love your layout. The mix of papers is so pretty. I love how you separated the top section from the bottom one with that row of scalloped polka dotted paper. The large numbers have real impact and catch the eye right away. Love how the little bird is looking over at the word "days". The big tag behind the photo is really nice as well. Great job ! ♥

dasmith2 I like your layouts. My favorite is the coffee layout. I've been thinking I need to document those everyday pleasures, like you have. Plus, I love those papers and how you used them. I'm glad you posted! To get the photos to show here, select your photo in Flikr, then click on the SHARE icon. Copy the address shown and simply paste into your post here. It took me a while to figure it out, too!

Here is my take on the challenge. I scraplifted from lilacgal ! I thought I still had the same paper from her strawberry layout, but I must have used it. The unloved/forgotten tool is in the photos - my Cricut. I hadn't used it in forever, when I used it to make the little gift card holders. I used the end of some really old Easter paper to cut out the flowers. I tossed the rest of the scraps because I was really sick of it! I also used Stickles in the center of the flowers and was amazed it was still like new. 2017-01 stash challenge by Mikk lynn, on Flickr

Here is my entry for the stash challenge! It was a labour of love and I have fiddling with it all week. I stayed true to my freeze and created my own embellishments from my stash as well. I used... floral ... the roses stripes ... the paper has journaling lines on it and I thought that counted an unloved tool ... my heat gun for embossing the script "love" die cut ink/mist/paints ... used both ink and mists on this page the last of something ... also the roses your handwriting ... well I decided to go with typewritten (a)because my kids bought me a WRMK typewriter and (b) the paper is Love Letters my LYB and it actually has typed words in the background Attachments:

What a lovely story, nitad, and a wonderful way to tell it! How great is it that you have this photo! That LYB pp is the perfect background for this. I had some of that once: it's flocked, isn't it?

grammadee you must be a night owl like me! That particular piece of pp is not flocked but they may have had some in that collection that was. I only had that shaped piece and one more double sided 12x12. I'm not even sure if I had anything else from that collection. I'm glad I had that piece though! Thanks again for the kind comments. I inherited all the old family photos after Dad passed. They are among my very favourite and prized possessions. I feel very lucky to have these bits of history to share with my children.

nitad What a wonderful photograph. You did it justice with your lovely layout. Side note - what do you think of your WRMK typewriter?
