Was going to do a movie (Hundred Foot Journey) but have to do Marching Band Cosmic Bowling carpool. So dinner out. Tomorrow DH and I are hitting two or three Garden Conservancy gardens in upstate NY. Tomorrow I'm working on my never-ending chalk-painted chair project and starting what I'm sure will become my never-ending table sanding project.

Expand my craft room. As in helping my craft things take over and run the show! Enabling, that's what it is! So my bead stuff will go up onto the balcony and scrapbooking supplies into the spare bedroom. That leaves my 'real' craftroom to the kiln formed glass items, my latest passion.
In the afternoon we are going to a fundraiser - an ice cream benefit! What could be better than buying ice cream and having it benefit a cause?
Evening will be dinner at the great restaurant around the corner from our house. I so love being an uptown dweller and having all the great resources within walking distance.

Nothing tonight.
Tomorrow is my husband's summer work picnic and then I am going out for a girl's night with my BFF and her two sisters. Sunday we are going bowling and having a BBQ with some friends.

Hunkering down for the weekend. Will avoid leaving my property until Monday morning. School starts Monday and the traffic, stores and most public venues will be mobbed with frantic smothers and their offspring.

Tomorrow I'm going to do laundry and blanch, cut off the cob, Foodsaver and freeze 3 dozen ears of corn I got at a farm stand today. I picked up some cucumbers too so I'm also going to make a double batch of freezer pickles. If I have any energy left I may go to the street dance later tomorrow evening.
Sunday my friend is coming over after church for girlfriend time and then we're going to make Pasta Alla Toscana, a fresh veggie salad and a peach and raspberry galette. Her DH will join us when it's time to eat.

It's festival time in Edinburgh at the moment, so I'm planning to go to the Fringe with a friend and some of her friends tomorrow. That sounds like fun! I just finished a Rebus novel (Ian Rankin) and the story was based around the Edinburgh festival. I'd love to get there one day. My plan for today (Saturday) is to sit in front of my computer and chat to you girls! I also have to finish putting together a video and photo slideshow for my son's football team. Then tomorrow I am going to see my nephew play in his football Grand Final. In the afternoon I will be watching my team play football. So my weekend is pretty much full of football! As it should be in winter in Melbourne.

Tomorrow, DH and some friends are biking to some local wineries so I'm going to pick them up and have lunch.
Sunday, I have a 9 mile walk on my training plan. I have NOTHING else planned for the rest of the day.
