After years and years of minivans, I downsized to a Honda Accord and enjoy it. It had belonged to one of my sons and he decided to sell it while deployed so he could buy a truck when he returned. I like that it had been his. I'm just not much of a car person. Proof of that is my previous vehicle was a 16-year-old minivan with 220,000 miles on it. Lol. My husband and sons had been after me to get rid of that one for a long while.
My husband has a four-door crew cab truck with all the bells & whistles so that's what we usually go places in together.

I think that the US definition of “truck” is different what we call a truck here. Can you explain what you mean by a truck? My DSO has a Toyota HiLux which I have a feeling might fall into your “truck” category. This is a truck: View AttachmentThe Hi Lux is what we call a truck. What you have pictured is an 18 wheeler or tractor trailer. Where as the personal vehicle is a pick up truck.

I have a 14 year old small SUV that is my baby. We also have another late model SUV that is the family car.
I will keep my baby as long as I can. In addition to totally adoring her, she is so much easier to parallel park which is vital at this time.

I drive a BMW 328D, and for the first time in my long life I am in love ❤️ with a car. Her name is Nellie, and she gets great highway mileage (54mpg) and 37 or so in town. I only have to buy fuel once a month.

We have 4 cars - one is for me, one DH and one each for 2 sons. They were all purchased used and under $15K each. 2 will be paid for in the next 3-4 months.
So many times I wish we had a truck or some kind of vehicle that could carry a piece of furniture or something.

Car, an old Chrysler Sebring convertible that craps out on me every few years, but my miracle worker of a mechanic always manages to raise it from the dead and give me some more miles out of it.

Escalade. I love it. It's comfy, packs a bunch of kids, and goes everywhere. I will have to downsize in a few years. Maybe a jeep...

I drive a Nissan Juke. I love my car, it's the perfect size for me and is so easy to drive....and park...which is important to this city dweller! Over the years I've gone from a good sized Jeep Grand Cherokee, to a medium sized Ford Explorer, to a smaller Honda CRV, to the even smaller Juke. I think my next car is going to have to be a sports car if I continue this trend

I have a 2007 Toyota Yaris. I absolutely love that car. It's a no frills model but it's super reliable and very inexpensive to maintain.

My husband and I both have smaller SUVs; my son drives a little Ford Ranger pick up. I drive a sedan for years but it was getting older plus our newest dog wouldn't get in it, couldn't ride comfortably in it, and just didn't fit. So yes, the only reason I went from a sedan to an SUV is because of my dog.

I have a 1998 Honda Accord and my DD who is 20 has a 1999 Honda Accord. (Mine's nicer..lol)
DH only vehicle at the moment and a cab for an 18-wheeler wasn't an option. LOL

I'm also not a car person. The charms of a high-end vehicle would be lost on me. My friend has a Maserati, and all I observe is there is almost no back seat, it makes a lot of noise, and it has such thin tires that hitting a small pothole sometimes requires a tire change. My pocketbook does not put me in danger of ever purchasing such a vehicle anyway.
