Be honest. Even if the representative you call changes their vote, you aren't going to vote for them when the time comes if you are a Democrat. You didn't vote for them, you aren't going to vote for them so why should they even care what you want. You're right that I'd probably never vote for someone who would even consider supporting Betsy DeVos. BUT the degree of my enmity during the next election varies. Piss me off enough now and I'll be supporting your primary challenger, campaigning for your opponent, donating money to his/her campaign, reminding my friends that you supported DeVos, etc.

I am hoping that these "yes" votes can be used against these clowns in the 2018 midterms. They have a lot of crust talking about people who are paid for. DeVos bought votes, plain and simple.

Ugh! It should not take so much effort on the part of the public to prevent an UNQUALIFIED person appointed to the cabinet!

Do we have a CALL list of senators that are on the fence? This is the weekend we need to take action.

People don't always vote along party lines and people don't always vote - but they certainly could be motivated to come out and vote either for/against somebody.

I would vote for Nikki Haley as president in a heartbeat, despite being a registered democrat. so way to try to generalize. But wrong.

Looks like it's going to be a tie with Pence casting the tiebreaker vote. ![](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/rpAaBAQhjSFZt4YtPRu4.jpg) Disgraceful. ETA: I hope every last one of those cowards is voted out in 2018.

Only for the strict party line voters ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/MNrJDkDuSwqIMVw33MdD.jpg) I'm an independent so I vote all over the place. Though I don't vote for democrats very often in my state because this state is so heavily democrat run. I would prefer to have more of a balance. But I'm that one that wants compromise and think both sides should do more compromising instead of holding firm against it.

It's each party for themselves. Who cares about the people? Ugh. I am so, so over our 2 major party system. Just over it. It's like being forced to watch 2 kids fighting with each other day after day, only in between their fights they take a few breaks where they make major decisions that affect countless people. Yay, America. Save
