Wow! That is an awful day! When my dh gets that sick I always end up in the ER with him. I couldn't imagine not being there with him. I hope he starts to improve soon.
Hugs

Oh no! What a horrible day! I'm happy for you that DH has gotten help and that it's not serious. I had pleurisy several years ago. It hurt every time I took a breath, so it can be scary. I was given medication and it cleared up in a couple of days.
Hopefully tomorrow will be a much better day!

I hope he feels good as new soon. Thanks for the update - it seems pretty positive overall! Are you with him now? Is his appointment there, in Houston, or back home?

I am going to wait until after his echo in the morning. If they need to tap the fluid, then I will drive down for that procedure. I am certainly going down after work on Friday to spend the weekend. His appointment is in Houston...at the hospital where he works. All of the cardiologists that he works with are wanting to be his doctor and take care of him.

Oh my, how awful! It is the most frightening thing we can endure when a loved one is sick like that and we are no where near... hugs to you both. I hope they are able to treat him quickly and that he recovers soon. Do they have any idea how that happened? A bad cold? A bug?
I had never heard of whippets so I had to look it up. Poor thing, what a horrible addiction. Luckily though someone called the police or the outcome could have been fatal. Back in the 70s my sister was at a high school party and a group of people were sniffing Pam cooking spray to get high spraying it into a paper grocery bag and inhaling it. Several people did it until one boy died on the spot. My sister said that party-goers scattered and left the poor boy, but thankfully a few stayed and did the right thing and called 911. Unfortunately it was too late.
