I know I'm not biased but I think she is the most beautiful baby ever! Just got back from a 5 day visit with my 5 month old grand daughter. Oh my, 5 days of pure sweetness and joy watching her make raspberries and eating her feet. This was a last minute trip because I just can't stay away. I hadn't seen her in about 7 weeks and was going crazy. I'll see her again at the end of March which is just soooooooo far away. What is a Bubby to do? I can understand why you are so gaga over her, she is absolutely adorable. |

She is ridiculously cute!!! You're going to have to move closer! Yes, that is an option. They are leaving Chicago in June for one year in Detroit. After that, we will find out where their "forever" home will be. Then we'll decide if we follow them there or stay here. Both my husband and I have only lived in Maryland and we're in our early 60s. It's hard to imagine moving, but it's also hard to imagine having a long distance relationship with her. We'll just have to wait and see. My dream now would be that they end up on the east coast not too far from us but just don't know. Have to wait it out and see. Yay Maryland! That's where I am from. Maybe you could talk them into Annapolis!! |

My granddaughter is cute and very androgynous looking. So I really am not biased.

A friend of mine is in the same situation. They just came home from spending two weeks with their newborn granddaughter. The baby is ten hours away. I predict that when the situation changes here (new grandmother's very elderly mother) the grandparents are likely to move to be near the grandchild. I would totally understand that - they love the area where their son and daughter-in-law live, and he's their only living child so all grandkids will be where he lives.
