I finish page 37 of my 40 page month goal this morning. Girls weekend starts today for me and dd11. So productivity will be down until next week, but immense fun will be had and probably some scrap photos taken. First of all, I'm amazed at how many layouts you've done this month. Second, your girls weekend sounds fun. I hope you have a great time together. Those times are so special.

Currently on my desk:
I'm working on a Valentine's layout for this year.
Only one of my kids would let me take a pic, so he's the only one on the layout.
I'm using the foam "candy hearts" stickers that I bought for a buck. And I outlined the photo in a heart of sequins (gotta use 'em!).
I think I'm going to fill the heart in around the photo, so that it is a solid embellishment mass. Good way to use small paper flowers (seriously, I still have some of those tiny Prima flowers that came in the milk bottles.)
I've already added an arrow (new supply), enamel dots (old supply), some paper flowers (old supply), a smallish journal tag, corrugated cardstock punched hearts (new supply with old tool use), & a chipboard monogram letter (new supply).
It's going to be very busy and embellishment heavy, but it's fun to do something different.

I mailed 60 cards to Ronald McDonald Houses this week! I have to send 20 more out by the end of the month but I need more kids' birthday cards in order to make that mailing.
I also need to make thank you cards for an animal rescue group so the dog, cat, hamster and domestic rabbit stamps are coming out this weekend.
But today I plan to finish up my February TN. I have about 4 more stories to add to it. Photos are printed and most journaling is done. Just have to do some stamping and put the layouts together. I need to stop overthinking this and just get it done.

I got started on a couple of layouts yesterday and ended up doing everything up to titles and journaling. Also, I finally used some ancient Heidi Swapp slide clips! I thought I'd never use them. The mustard colored ones go really well with Pink Paislee Memorandum.

I tried working on the page that I started over a week ago (finally wrapped up the title card, YAY!!! lol) last night because I was feeling decent. Unfortunately, my husband was stuck in traffic and took almost twice as long to get home...so that meant my daughter was bored and decided to drag over a toy that she could climb on and spent the entire time I tried to scrapbook pointing to everything I touched telling me it was 'paper' and when she was wrong and I corrected her, she would then repeat as best as she could (she's 2) whatever I said. So instead of scrapbook, it became a game of pointing out people in photos and 'name that supply!! 2 year old's edition.' Didn't get ANYTHING accomplished other than putting the title card in it's sleeve, but she was definitely entertaining and I can't fault her for being excited about the things that Mommy enjoys!!

I finished up 3 pages that I had started yesterday, then did a quick 2 more today. Posted the 5 new ones over at Calvinball and added up my points.
So I now have 21 of the 31 pages I had planned to finish this month. I am pretty sure I will get the last ten done, but with the way this month's calendar is building up, not sure if I will get any more than that done.
Bonus is that I am already PAST my goal of one page a day this year, so have a head start for the busy months ahead!

Those various clip styles and shapes are something I had planned to use during Calvinball, but have not yet taken the time to pull mine out. Thanks for the reminder! Not sure if I should pull out my divided case with all the metal bits & bobs in it NOW, so I don't forget, or maybe leave it safely in the drawer where I know where it IS... Yes, this room is THAT messy right now!

Cropped last evening 5-9 and today from about 10 am to 8 pm. I have been under the weather all week and tried to medicate myself so I could be productive. I gotta admit I was pretty miserable but I persevered with these current photos so I can get back to my project. I did several groups of photos - son's selfies with friends, DS2 internship, Christmas, DH birthday, and some misc layouts. I actually had found some photos of my mom with her 'new' car taken quite a few years ago and I finally scrapped them. I have to find out where I can fit them into an album so they will be somewhat chronological. My total is about 35 or so for the weekend, but some of them are very simple. Because I scrap 8.5x11 a few of them were newspaper articles or other items that pretty much took up the whole real estate. One layout of pics taken at Steak and Shake I pulled a used up gift card from there out of my wallet and used it on the page. It looked pretty good! I took a picture of it here - part of the layout is cut off but the gift card shows. Then I have the layout of my mom and her car and another of son with his friends. Simple theme pages as usual.

35 pages in a weekend is awesome, myboysnme! Love the ones you shared with us. I am almost at my March goal, and that's a good thing, because I really need to get some other things done! Finished 4 pages today. That leaves 3 more pages to reach my goal. I have two more laid out on the scrap counter tonight. Hoping to get those finished tomorrow. Lately I have been starting with the photos and laying them out on the cs, then adding the layers under them and the embellishments over the top. That lends itself to a somewhat linear style. These pages started with an idea and a hand drawn sketch. They will have doodling and splattering, and... Hoping they turn out somewhat like I envision them. Will let you know!

I thought I'd share a layout that I'm proud of this month.
Forgive me that I covered my kid's face and blocked the name on the tag. Privacy, and all that.
I wanted to show this layout because I used a ton of bits and bobs. A tag, sequins, corrugated cardstock, enamel dots, 2 valentine stamps that I bought this year, star confetti, dot confetti, large and small paper flowers, Nuvo drops, Stickles, butterfly punchies, foam "candy hearts" stickers....
It was the first layout in a long time that I really piled it on. I like how it came out. It took me quite a few days because I would work on it, then let it sit/dry. Then when I thought I was done, I let it sit for another night and the following day I added yet more sequins and confetti.

Today I reached my March goal. 31 pages in March.
That was my Calvinball goal, too, so I get to claim an extra point for that! My total CB points are higher than last year, but will be nowhere near where the front runners will be if they keep up their pace while I just step to the side. But I am happy with what I've been able to do this month and this year. After a fall vacation, a broken arm, and Christmas, I was feeling really behind in my scrapping. But although I still have some stories to tell from this past fall and winter, I feel like I can easily fit them in as I go.
I did some sorting out and putting away in here yesterday and today. Need to get to the rest of the house starting tomorrow morning. Lots of housework put on hold while I hit Calvinball HARD.
Busy few weeks ahead. I think the next big scrapbooking push will be at the crop I'll be attending near the end of April.

I made a super simple layout yesterday that came together in less than 20 minutes. It was a photo of my ds with his first pair of glasses. And don't you know it, the pattern paper had a pair of glasses on it, so I made sure to keep that part when I trimmed the 12x12 sheet to 8.5x11". Then I pulled out four rubber stamps: A monogram, a pair of glasses, "love you to the moon and back" small stamp, and a camera. The paper was already sort of color blocked, so I just chose different blocks to stamp in, using those four stamps. Then I just chose one block to write a little journaling and the date. And added a couple arrows that matched the paper perfectly (which happened to match his shirt in the photo perfectly). And added a few groupings of enamel dots to draw the eye in a triangle. And it's done that fast. Almost too easy.

LavenderLayoutLady, I love those layouts that flow so quickly. I had one like that a few days ago. 30 minutes start to finish and I love it! That rarely happens. I'm on my 5th layout so far this month. I didn't scrap at all the first week. I'll be scrapping a camping trip that was an absolute blast and I didn't want to limit the number of pictures. This will be the first time I'll have more than one layout of one event. Besides mini albums, of course. I think I'll end up with four layouts. It was an eventful weekend, I guess. How are all of you Calvinball ladies coming along with your goals?

I finally was able to sit in my craftroom yesterday and I got 3 layouts done! Im doing week by week for my dd album so each week has a 12x12 layout and then a project life corresponding page but its mainly just pics. Thank you! I wish I could laugh and say she doesn't get speeding tickets but..... She says the police are usually surprised to find an 82 year old lady behind the wheel! When I ride with her I have to close my eyes when she gets behind a truck because I know she's going to nail it and blow around it at her first opportunity. Your layouts are amazing.
