I was over at Paperclipping, where Noell had started a conversation about TwoPeas closing. And a lovely poster / pea, KatyLouWho, posted this: And I just did this and it worked!

Glad you found it, and I hope that all of you share this around your friends who are peas. I'm pretty angry that they are taking something I paid for. It's a real easy program to use, and the videos come out so nice. Now I have to store my stuff on several drives so that I can have a backup copy!

Hasn't worked for me - for some reason google won't let me install the video app - waiting for one of my techy boys to get in and fix it for me. I'd like access to the videos I paid for ....

I am so pissed about losing the classes. Thank you for sharing this. Now if I could only get onto the 2peas site.

So you have to let the video run all the way through I guess? What sort of file sizes does this create (anyone who has already done this?).
I got all the pdf's and am wondering how critical the videos are to me.

Thank you for sharing this! I got all the PDFs yesterday, but the videos were the real inspiration for me and I'm glad I can save them now.

I typed this up a while ago. I didn't need any special software or extensions. I use Foxfire with Windows 7.
I use Foxfire and it works for me. I had another Pea say it didn't work for her. It only works for paid videos. I hope it works for you.
It is possible to save your paid videos. It is illegal to share them, so it's only to backup the information you paid for.
This how to do it in Mozilla Foxfire. Navigate to the page with the video. Hover over the video and right click.
Click on "view page info"
Click on Media
Scroll down in the box you see ther. You'll see on the right side that the objects are listed with a type.
Find the video. Click it and make sure it is highlighted.
you'll see it come up in the Media Preview box at the bottom. Click "save as"
You may have to rename it, and it will save to wherever you have your computer set to save things.
It should be saved to your computer.
And again, I would not share the videos with anyone.

You do not have to let the video run through completely. I just waited until the download was complete. It worked faster later in the evening, probably after traffic died down. It took me until late evening to even be able to access my videos.
I was so glad this worked for me because I had a class I hadn't even checked out or viewed the videos. At any rate, if I never even watch the videos again, it is the principle. We paid for it. While your tech people are shutting stuff down, have the videos made available to us in some manner.

Thank you for these instructions. I am guilty of buying a class and never watching the whole thing. It's good to have it on my computer now. Thanks again.

I am curious if they will leave all of the other free videos on YouTube. One of the issues with leaving the original two Peas site up is that they would still have to maintain it. There is absolutely no maintenance if they simply leave all the TwoPeas videos on YouTube. Just thinking about all of wonderful videos from the Garden Girls (past and present)...Shimelle, Kristina Werner cardmaking, Jennifer McGuire Thinking Inking...and SO many other talented women!

I'm sorry I can't help. I'm not sure why it worked for me. It was a few months ago that I downloaded my videos. They may have changes their settings. I'm out without my computer today, so I can't see if it still works for me. I'll try to check tomorrow and see if it works.

Thanks for posting these directions. I actually emailed support asking them to make the vimeo files unprtected so I could use anothe video scraper to save them and they said no. I am still pissy about that but at elast now I have a workaround. Wilna's Art class almost done - 3 more classes to go. Kinda sad I never bought Wilna's Art 2 class now

I am attempting to save my hitchhikers guide but no idea if it is working and it said it will only allow you to download five videos. I hope this works. I would live to have the videos I paid for and it would be awesome to be able to save the glitter girl ones as well even if we can't share them. Having a few for inspiration would be nice.

Any hints on which video downloader to use with firefox? I downloaded it and didn't get any options to save when I right clicked in firefox - on the paid videos and the free ones it seems to recognize it as a video but it will just copy the url not the actual video. Any other help would be appreciated. I used the app in Chrome but ran out of the free trial and since I am now trying to do the free videos I would like to know if it actually works before I spend money on it but would prefer a free downloader. I looked in firefox and there were a ton and I have no idea which ones will work and which ones are just a waste of effort. I also hate to keep installing more and more things on my computer.
I would love to be able to copy a few of the free videos if possible - for my own use of course.

I used Flash Video Downloader in Firefox. There is a down arrow button to click (for me to the left right of the address bar).

I hope that this helps someone save the class that they paid for and trust that none of the paid classes are distributed to anyone who didn't pay for them. I'd hate to think that we took anything away, from the lovely ladies who worked so hard to bring us these classes. Please don't anyone try to cheat Wilna or Shimelle or any of the other teachers out of anything by sharing these classes with others. Hopefully they're able to retain the rights to the content that they created for twopeas and still sell them someday from some other site or their own site.
I used the Mozilla DownloadHelper app to save my class videos. I use firefox and a windows based system.
After you install it, it adds a little icon to the right of your toolbar (looks like three little greyscale balls or molecules)
Go to the page where all the videos are located and start by clicking on the first lesson. When you get to that lessons page and as you click on the video, you'll notice that the three balls start rotating and are now colored (this means there's something that's downloadable on the page)
Notice to the right of the three rotating balls is a little dropdown menu arrow, if you left click on it it will show you a MP4 code or numbers, as you hover over those numbers, you'll have a popup menu appear that has options.
OPTIONS are the following
download and convert quick download download copy URL add to blacklist social share
NOTE I have no idea of what most of these are for, I chose "download" and saved them to a file on my desktop, they played by perfectly and only took about 1/2 hour to download all of them, even with my slow connection. I also saved all of the pdfs, cut files etc in the file.

Help! I downloaded the video downloader pro and tried to save some videos, but when I try to play them, it's just a black screen and no sound. It shows the correct title and length of the video, and I can see that the time on the video is playing, but there's nothing to see or hear. How do I save them? Is it because I have an ad blocker?

I ended up downloading another downloaded in Firefox and it seems to be working fine. I am so glad I found this thread and am able to copy the videos. i agree I hope no one distributes the paid classes shimelles classes aren't that expensive and even my cheap self thinks they are worth the money. I wish I had taken more of them though. I kept meaning to and was hoping to do so this summer. I really hope she can get the rights to them and puts them on her site and I will be able to take them.

I agree that I hope no one distributes the paid classes but I do think that those of us who paid for the class should have access to it after 2Peas is closed. I emailed 2Peas and asked how to save the classes I paid for and never received an answer. Thanks to this board I learned how and was able to do it.
