I'm on the beach in Hawaii. Family members needed their house and animals taken care of while they are traveling for a month. Anyway, it took Three Tries to find the perfect spot. The first one had nice shade, ( I sunburned the other day ), but the man in a couple next to me has a voice just like my ex. Not peaceful. The second spot was close to the water, but not enough shade. Like Goldilocks, the third try is the winner. Shade, breeze, close enough to the water to enjoy the soothing sound of each wave lapping at the sand. Perfection.  |

You need sunscreen even in the shade! Which island are you on? We just got back from a week on Oahu and have decided Leeward and North Shore are our favorites. We spent very little time in Honolulu and no time on Waikiki. Hawaii in March is the best. The weather is perfect.  My first world Hawaii problem was that Plumerias are my favorite flowers in the whole wide world and we were on the island during the only month when they are hard to find on the trees. The only ones left were high up and barely hanging on.  |

 Yikes. Busy Saturday. Between feeding animals, chasing down an uncooperative goat, having to look out for giant cane spiders right in my path, doing laundry, and now it's raining: I'm FINALLY getting to sit down under the covered lanai with a drink and a book and relax! |
