I know that most people enjoy this hobby to preserve their memories. But what aspect of scrapbooking do you enjoy the most? Working with the photos? Designing the layout? Journaling? Something else?
For me the aspect that I enjoy the most is the problem solving. When a layout isn't working out the way I had envisioned for some reason I really enjoy figuring out a solution to the problem.
And adding to my stash...

I enjoy playing around with pretty papers and the embellishments and having the finished product look cute, pretty, or just nice (at least to my eyes). So I guess that would be the design element of it?
I have loved crafting since I was in the 3rd grade, that I can remember. I did not really do much of it for a long while, but the internet certainly changed all that.

Apart from shopping? Probably the designing part of it.

Besides enjoying a finished layout I'd say my favorite part is picture and paper placement. Those two things usually happen pretty quickly for me.

Playing with stuff, reliving memories and ending up with something fun to look at.
My Mum encouraged us to stick things in books at an early age, so I guess it's something that feels comfortable and familiar and brings back memories as well. It's also something that helps me focus on the moment so guess it's a type of mindfulness as well.

I love mixing the pattern papers together. I also like designing the layout, but I get real satisfaction looking through my albums at the layouts and enjoying the happy memories.

Seeing the finished product. One of my most prized possessions is my 2014 PL album (I am still working on everything after that).

So I guess that would be the design element of it? Ditto! I have never been good at visual art, so it seems like magic to me to make something that looks nice. I'm still not terribly creative, but I do make some pretty things. And I love being able to send a handmade card to someone!

I love using the perfect products to have a page come together quickly. Nothing makes me happier than finally using something I had purchased for certain photos and I finally sit down and put it all together!
When I was gathering product for my living history project, I had been collecting for it for many years. Finally seeing myself putting those perfect items on the page with photos makes it awesome for me.
After that, looking at completed pages and albums is very important to me.

I love finding a snippet from our lives and putting together the perfect photo with a little memory. I love to capture an expression in a photo and a turn of phrase in the title/journaling. That's the magic for me.
And I love paper. The acquiring of it, fondling it, finding a way to use it, stacking it, layering it, etc.

Shopping for supplies! And second best is getting lost in my scrap room for an afternoon thinking about absolutely nothing but the memories of the photo(s) I'm working with. It's my "me" time and I love it!!

I think it's the planning. I am not creative. I have a process. Once I figure out how I'm going to put the page together, I get in a zone.

Hard to pIck 1 thing. Maybe being able to look at my grand babies sweet faces. Phogography, for sure. Love it all except editing & ordering prints.

I would say putting all of these individual things together to create the perfect page that tells the story I wanted to tell. Oh, and shopping for the stuff!

Playing with stuff, reliving memories and ending up with something fun to look at. I think this says it best for me. And while I am remembering experiences with the grandkids, I am also anticipating how they will respond to their pages, so even when I am alone in my scraproom, I feel a strong connection with the people I am scrapping about. Cant deny the the pull of design, either. Being away from scrapping this weekend, I see design ideas everywhere: floor tiles, brick walls, billboards, gravel in the parking lot...

For me it is the calm feeling it gives me. If I can even sit in my scrap room and work, uninterrupted for 15-20, it relaxes and recharges me.

My favorite part is going through our scrapbooks with the kids, and sharing those memories together . My second favorite is playing with *all the things* lol

I love playing with all the pretty supplies, preserving memories for my grandchildren, and looking back at how they have grown. I've always enjoyed crafting. This is my favorite.

I love our hobby and feel bad when it's made fun of (my DH tells me Bob's Burgers bashed scrapbooking on a recent show and I don't want to watch!)
I love the "pretty" part of supplies and colours I love figuring out the basic design of photos and paper layers
I always loved stickers (had a sticker album as a kid. How 1980's am I?) and pens and notebooks and colours so I'm super happy to have a channel for that!

I love having a reason to go through my boxes of pictures and reliving the memories. Next is enjoying the design process. Finally, sharing the finished pages with my kids so they can relive their memories I've scrapped for them. (Of course replenishing the stash is mixed up in there too! Love hunting for just the right paper and embellishments and more!)

Putting all the embellishments on after I get the basics done (picking paper, photo placement, etc)
Looking back on pages I did previously. I am really itching to pull out albums from a decade ago, but I have no where to put them, so I haven't. I really want to revisit that time in my life, though.

Looking at the finished pages is by far my most favorite part of the hobby. Shopping for supplies is up at the top of the list, too.
Can I say I don't like the actual process of putting pages together? I always second guess myself about all my choices - paper, number and size of photos, embellishments, stamping, etc. - and I find that stressful. It's a big part of the reason I downsized to TNs. Less real estate to freak out over.
