scrappintoee My anxiety manifests in physical symptoms so when it gets bad I get what I describe as chest pain. When I was first diagnosed I went through a cardiac work up to make sure my heart was okay and it is. It is a chest tightening-lump in my throat; like I am heading into a panic attack but without the breathing involvement or actual panic. Kind of hard to describe I guess. Thanks for your concern.

Panic attack guided imagery CD/mp3If you're open to guided meditation and guided visual imagery exercises, you might want to look into this CD/mp3. It's also available on Amazon. My anxiety attacks were so bad that I ended up at the ER thinking I was having a heart attack or another stroke once. I listened to this CD twice a day for 6 weeks and it really helped bring my anxiety under control. I was able to get down to only using my anxiety medication as needed, about once every two to three days now, sometimes even less often.
