Oh my just got back from value village. Scrappy treasure find. I paid $15 (which yes is high for a thrift store find)but I got a stamp binder with 8 pages full of paper trey ink stamps. I figure there is about $75 (just counted the sets, there's $110) worth of stamps in there. So excited. Love pti That's an incredible find!

I have done this. I think it's great therapy. I am toying with doing it the day after Easter! It is the best therapy ever!! Enjoy your day if you do take the day after Easter off!! I took today, instead. I'm going to catch up around the house and scrap. I truly needed the mental health day.

My little bit of scrappy randomness:
Today I did a little bit of playing tourist in my own town. Took photos of well known places, etc.
I'm going to buy themed embellies to match the photos at some point.

I spent much of today sorting though my 2010 digital files and merging them with the photos from that year that I printed awhile back. Aye aye aye, it was a huge project, but I guess it could have been a lot worse. I'm working on editing now. It's not as much fun as scrapping, but I'll be feeling accomplished when I just get this part done.
DD13 has been on spring break this week. She was doing some beading next to me while I was working earlier, so it made for a nice afternoon. She's going to a clay painting place tomorrow with a friend, so it'll be another quiet day for me, editing and organizing.
Weekend scrappy plans anyone?

I'm going to scrap this weekend, msliz. I came home from spring break vacation sick, and it turns out I have pneumonia! No Easter visiting for me, but no chores either so I'll try to do something, even if it's just editing photos or sorting cameo cut files on my computer. Say a prayer for me, ladies. Pneumonia really stinks.

My crop this weekend was cancelled because the church where it is held decided they needed the space to get ready for Easter services - which leads me to think they have their priorities mixed up So I am not doing any actual page making, but I know I will be organizing supplies and looking for some paper I had last month that I can't find and moving piles from one place to another.

I bought a new laptop last weekend so I'm still working through setting everything up and moving the files across that I want. My main external hard drive decided to stop working today and I can't seem to rescue it. I keep a lot of commonly accessed files on there and have lost the last 6 weeks (since my last backup to my backup external drive). So my PSA to everyone is back up your files this weekend.
My goal today is to get my iTunes up and running again (it was on my hard drive that crashed - unfortunately I had just moved all the files from my old laptop onto it to move them across the new computer so they're gone). Then I'm going to work on some pages.

My DD is not coming home for Easter and my hubby is working so I'm hoping to get a lot of time in my scrapbook room this weekend. I really hope to get close to finishing my vacation album from our trip last fall.

Oh no, Chinagirl828. I'm sorry to hear that. It's a good reminder to have multiple back ups. I'm guilty of not backing up often enough.

I know you should always back up before you make any moves like this but I was riding high on the wave of success and it was the last thing that needed to be done. I'm just grateful that my last backup was only 6 weeks ago (I'm usually terrible at making the second copy and the drive that failed is my first and often only backup) and all my photos are still safe. The digi scrapping kits and recently scanned layouts that I've lost along with the iTunes files are either not that important or can be reloaded.

Managed to design and cut all the pieces on my Silhouette, but ran out of steam putting it together. I'm hoping to finish it today.

carolynhasacat I hope you are feeling better soon. I'm glad your DH is taking great care of you. Chinagirl828 I bet you were in a panic! Do you have something like The Geek Squad we have here in the states? Maybe they can recover your data.

Healing wishes coming your way carolynhasacat. Make sure you don't overtire yourself-- even for crafting. That's too bad about your computer issues, Chinagirl828. The geek squad was able to retrieve the files off my dead computer a couple of years ago. Worth a try. Must be computer crap out week. My dh's iPad crashed Monday or Tuesday. He ended up losing everything I am planning to drive home today after 8 days away. Need to cook something to contribute to sil's Easter dinner tomorrow. Don't think I will be in my craft room before Monday, and then I will be starting to organize what I will be taking to the crop next weekend.

Ugh. I just gave in and put in a photo order for almost 200 more photos. I'm not supposed to be doing this. I'm supposed to be cleaning and organizing my house and doing yard work this month, and I just know I'm going to get sucked into scrapping these photos. The temptation was just too much for me.

We do have places that can recover but what I lost was not really worth the time or expense. I've been able to cobble together most of it by redownloading my last digi purchases and I can just start my iTunes from scratch. It's annoying for the time it takes more than anything.
But still - PSA - back up your files!

Scrappy wise...my DD (13) is using my supplies for her own craftiness and I'm both happy and annoyed. She doesn't scrap but she sure does art. She used up a whole bottle of my Heidi Swapp "tinsel" colour mist on a huge project board for school, and she is using my stencil brushes and inks all the time now. I have to remind myself to share My 15 year old dd who is obsessed with comic con and cos play asked for a empty 12x12 album today. She wants to make a special album, but you're nicer than me. She has to ask before using anything. Scrap stuff is my 1 thing that I am very territorial about! My DDs are always using my scrap supplies for their projects (usually they ask first). refugeepea my eldest dd is also into cosplay, I'm collecting lots of photos of her work for an album for her. My youngest is an actress so I want to do albums for her too. These are going to be fun albums to work on.

In home therapy was canceled for my kids today and I could have had a mess in my living room (where it takes place) for 3 days! Now I don't want to get anything out.

This is NSBR, but I didn't think anyone would mind if I shared it here. It's twilight here, and there's some kind of a hoot-off going on outside my house. There are at least 4 barred owls loudly calling to (at?) each other. Like LOUD. for the last 10 minutes. I love it. It's a hoot. I snapped a photo of one outside my kitchen window the other evening. Very cool animals, especially when they spread their wings.

I am on the hunt for a Jolies bowling sticker I picked up awhile ago on a free table because my son gave me two pictures of a bowling outing he took the kids on at work. So I started 'cleaning' my dining room table where I have been piling stuff for months. No bowling sticker yet. In the mean time I have been pulling more and more things that will work for my living history photos project so I need to organize them into bigger bins. It will be hard to transport them to crops but it must be done. This is when a wagon would come in handy but I'll just make 2 trips I guess! I have some older Karen Foster bowling stickers I *think*. If you'd like them let me know.

I am all packed up for a weekend crop. Everything scrappy is in my vehicle. In the morning I just need to get myself ready and pack some clothes. Crop doesn't start til late afternoon, but I need to print some pic's, visit the accountant to sign my tax documents, pick up some stuff my LSS has had tucked away for me, and run some errands for dh before then, so I will be leaving in the morning. Love your owl pic, msliz. We have magpies around here, and they are not nearly as nice to listen to!

Well, my scrappy life has just been nonexistent this month. It's just been one thing after another to deal with, and no fun time left. A much worse month than I've had in a long time.
Hopefully next month will be better.

I have a lot to accomplish this weekend. I need to put away my stuff from my last two scrapping outtings. I need to make 3 more cards, stamp the inside of 4 other ones. And start packing for my retreat. I do have next weekend too. But I think I like to start pulling stuff now. And see how I feel about it, and be able to pair it down.
I ordered two very expensive tattered lace dies last night I'm hoping they arrive in time for the retreat!. I am really sure they will be I have ordered from Frantic Stamper before and they ship quickly.
