Ok, our WW thread is getting lengthy. Several of us have mentioned starting a weekly thread so here it is.
This is has been a challenging week for me. We did a few days at the beach and then a few at my daughter's house. I didn't track like I should have and made some poor eating choices (fresh seafood is my downfall). I came home carrying a gain of 4.4 lbs. I've been tracking since I got home. I'm working hard to get back on track. How is everyone else doing this week?

I am on maintenance right now, which is harder than weight loss for me.
We are going on a cruise in 2 weeks and I'd like to be down a couple of pounds, because I am planning on eating and drinking whatever I want for those 5 days. No tracking. I will gain weight, and it will be worth it. If I drop a few pounds before-hand, I won't have to worry about it too much.

I just started back today. I have been getting in the right mindset and drinking water for the last week, and got on plan today by going to my local meeting. I also placed a big grocery order so I'll be ready for next week.
Today I did ok. Breakfast and lunch were ok but we went out to dinner so it went downhill there. Tomorrow I'll be armed with good groceries and ready to go.
Thanks for starting this!

I mentioned in the other thread that I had my weigh-in this morning and I'm down 1lb. About 12lbs down. My lowest was down 20 before things went sideways and gained a lot back.
DH and I went out for Mexican tonight and I only over-indulged on the chips and salsa.😕 I'mnot going to stress about it. I'll just be ore careful this week and drink a lot of water. I'm hoping to keep focused and keep on a downward trend.

I'm doing okay, still down though. But weekends are always harder! I usually meal prep for Monday-Friday and know exactly what I'm going to eat. It works because I have a tight work schedule with school in the evenings as well.
I ate out yesterday and geez, restaurant meals are not healthy!! I was looking at my app and some of the points on these restaurant meals are insane. So yesterday I settled for some crab cakes and fries (I know, fries aren't the best, but I needed my potatoes!). I went to Chipotle today also and stayed away from the chips and salsa. Do you know they're 18 points for just the chips at Chipotle? I used to eat the whole bag of them, no wonder I weigh so much...

I was expecting to be up at my weigh in today but was down half a pound. I leave for Disneyland tomorrow...hoping I can stay on track while there.

I'm on maintenance (going on with 10 years now) and the last couple of weeks I worked diligently to drop a few pounds because as I type this we are on a cruise! Last Thursday I weighed in at my lowest weight in some time so woohoo bring on the buffet. J/K I'm trying to still be mindful. I'm eating what I want but paying attention to being full and trying not to snack too much. Yesterday was embarkation day and we walked 15k steps so that helped. Hoping to gain no more than 5. That will put me just a couple over my happy weight.
I've been doing OrangeTheory for a couple of months now (twice a week) and I'm very pleased with the results. I've lost some circumference from places and I feel stronger with more stamina. So I'll keep that up too.

keithurbanlovinpea have fun on your cruise! Today I kicked butt at kickboxing and already did Day 1 of Week 2 of the Spring It On Ab Challenge the studio is doing. O.M.Gah! I have SUCH a weak core! Blah! One day I'll have a six pack. Right now, I need to get the fat off the belly to even see a 1/2 ab! Ha! How many more days left in April?

My first time posting in this group...
I'm an on again/off again WW member. I started back in January but was pretty inconsistent for Jan and Feb. I got serious again in March until the end when we went on a short cruise. I ate and drank what I wanted and surprisingly only gained 1.4 pounds. Getting right back on track and drinking a lot of water when we got home Monday night and it's already gone. We walk a lot on the ship and always take the stairs instead of the elevator. I think it really does help. Had back to back baseball games this weekend for Opening Day and that was a challenge. There is nothing healthy to eat really at my ballpark but I did the best I could, counted it and moved on. Doing a lot of yard work today to burn some calories!
Thanks for starting the group! I'm 55, post chemo and post menopause. It doesn't come off like it used to, that's for sure!! I want to lose 20 pounds and I am a s-l-o-w loser. I need all the motivation I can get.

Hi, all. I am down 34 lbs so far. I have 12 more to go until I'm near the top of my goal weight range. I just got back from a 3-week trip to Europe, so I am back on the program b/c I didn't track well when I was on my trip. The week is going ok but I really, really need to do a menu plan for the coming week. I will sit and do that today.
I have Hashimoto's and my weight comes off VERY slowly. But that's ok.
My hardest meal of the day is LUNCH. I am sooooooo sick of turkey. And salads. OY. I also need to get back to the gym. I haven't been in about 4 months due to depression and work travel.

Y'all who go to the gym, I have a question. I'm doing well with WW however I know I need to add in exercise. I have a gym membership but I have yet to use it. I'm not gonna lie, I HATE exercise. What makes it easier? I feel like if I could just motivate myself to get started it would be half the battle. Also what if anything makes it enjoyable for you? I've tried walking with friends from work, that's not helping. I actually hate that because they expect me to talk while we walk.

I have a membership at Planet Fitness for $10/month and I go sporadically. I do think I need to go in and do some lifting to strengthen my arms/shoulders and back. I have a very weak upper body, but my lower body is strong as hell. For me, finding an activity I like really made the difference. I love activities that make me work HARD, but where I feel strong and powerful when I'm done. I adore insanity workouts, but the class I used to attend doesn't meet anymore, so I floated around for a while until I found kickboxing. Holy cow is that a workout! Lots of cardio, strength and they do HIIT as the warm-up. I'm finding that I'm getting definition in my arms and legs as well as my waist from all the punches, kicks, and the twisting required to hit hard and accurately. I love that it's not the exact same workout each time and even though I started solo, I have met some great people and enjoy meeting up with them there. I think finding something you love and won't miss is the key. My WW leader said that if you want to add activity, do something you don't dread. You don't want to have a negative association made with something that's supposed to destress you and help make you happier and healthier.

Well, I haven't been in months, so I guess I can't say I go....but I am trying to get back into the habit. I am convinced that exercising does not give me endorphins. I do know that I need to do it, though. And when I do it, I am less tired in the afternoon. I don't get that "exercise high" or ever really feel like I love it, though. It is good advice to find something you like. Zumba? Walking? Yoga? Videos at home? Save

does WW not care about drinking water anymore? That was something that surprised me when I restarted. I had been on the Points+ program previously and they were insistent on tracking fats, vegetables, fruits, milk/dairy, and water. This time...nada. I asked my leader about it and he said they weren't pushing the monitoring of it like before because of member feedback saying it was too much. I still make sure I have a good 3 bottles (24 oz refillable bottles) per day. It was the one thing my leader said to me at my first meeting that has stuck with me. Water flushes out your system, helps your kidneys do their thing, and aides in weight-loss (keeping you fuller etc.). I also love how soft and smooth my skin feels when I drink enough water.

Yes, I hate the gym too! I had a gym membership for 3 years and only went a handful of times. The sweating gets to me. Also, everyone around me intimidates me. They are SO in shape and know what they're doing. And the gym around me was always so crowded, so I just rarely went. I though like swimming though. If I could find a place to just swim, I would do that.
Walking is nice when you're just listening to music. Can you try watching YouTube videos? There are tons of exercise programs online. Though, I have no motivation to do them at the moment. I've been losing about 1-2 pounds a week so far on WW just from changing my diet. Maybe when I stop losing, I'll start exercising.

I listen to books on audio while I walk, when I walk by myself. I do walk with a friend 2 miles each weekday morning, and we do talk the whole time. Walking outside is much easier than walking on a treadmill. For whatever reason, the treadmill is so boring it is much harder for me. The other thing is that we got a dog 6 years ago when I started walking in earnest. I get 3.5 miles in (half that if the weather is really bad) every day. It is too easy for me to let myself down and skip exercising, but I can't dissapoint the dog!

I've been doing fairly well. Down 15 pounds since I started in January. I had a few weeks where I was just not losing weight. I had to figure out the plan a little and find out what works for me. Finally the weight is coming off. Yesterday was a bad food day. It was DH's birthday and we ate out at Red Robin. I was really in the mood for one of their burgers, so I went for it. Came home and tracked it. I was flabbergasted to find out it was 39 points!!!! I won't do that again. But I had saved my weeklies and didn't go over those. I don't weigh in until Wednesday so I think I will be good. I'm getting ready to head out for a walk here in a few minutes, it's a beautiful day here.

My week went pretty well. I had dinner out on Thursday and indulged in a margarita and some chips along with my enchiladas, rice and beans; but I stayed within points the rest of the week so I don't think I did much (if any) damage. Next Sunday we're going out for Easter brunch (Dinosaur Bar-B-Que, yum!) so I'll try and make good choices between now and then so that I can indulge without guilt. I'm finding that it's easier to stick to plan if I have something to look forward to. I just finished hard boiling some eggs for snacks and have these sheet pan fajitas in the oven. I hope they taste as good as they smell because they're going to be tonight's dinner plus work lunches for a couple of days. I think I'm going to serve them over brown rice. I have my third weigh-in tomorrow night - hopefully I'll have good news to report!

So it's been a very long, hard week. I lost my mom this week after an illness. I've been going back and forth between eating too little and eating too much. I'm not going to freak out over it, and if there's a gain, in the scheme of my life right now, I really just don't care. That being said, I'm not going to use this as an excuse to quit.
I actually like the gym, I walk on the treadmill for 30/45 minutes with incline intervals, then 30 minutes of strength training taking turns between arms, abs, and legs. I listen to books, watch Netflix, and Broadway music with high BPM.
