He has been using linkedin. He wasn't as strong with it earlier, but he has been all over it recently. It is extremely frustrating at this point! That's good! I know there are articles out there that can help to pinpoint searches. They just revamped it, though and I'm not crazy about it. But its a necessary evil. I wish you luck in finding something soon!

You know I love the duck but the biting has to stop already. Is he lonely? Does he have a girlfriend? I don't do pets that bite. Can you spray his face with water when he bites you? Anything? He has a beautiful wife, and I just bought him three new women. I am now throwing stones at the sob. Don't worry I really can't hit him. But tomorrow I am buying a beef gun to shoot at him. I don't know anything about domesticated ducks other than they are cheap food in China and Hong Kong and I never want to eat either again in my life. My neighbor has chickens and they cackle until he lets them out and feeds them in the am. That's all I know about poultry. Roosters aren't allowed in my municipality but you can have a few goats as long as no one complains about the smell. That's as suburban as I get! I can't take care of me anymore let alone poultry or goats!

Vet says dog should see a dog allergist. Only one dog allergist within 3 hours. Office tells me average pet owner spends a minimum of $1500. To start. In the first three visits. Also. That the typical pet owner ends up spending $3500-4000. I wish I were made of money but I am not. Vet basically tells me I am a bad pet owner if I cannot call on $4k for my dog's allergies. Great day.

Great day. I had a dog once with food allergies. I spent a fortune cooking him venison and potatoes. I took him to MSU for allergy testing and treatment. I spent thousands of dollars on this dog. And he still itched. It was terrible. He was only a little guy so I felt terrible about the idea of putting him down. But finally it got to the point where he was miserable being driven crazy by itching. We ended up putting him down. Poor dog was only 1.5. But we literally tried everything and spent thousands and it didn't even help. You are not a bad pet owner if you don't want to go through all that and spend that kind of money. Especially given there's no guarantee that they will improve. I get it, we love our pets. But there comes a point where you have to let them go.

Great day. I'm not willing to spend that much either. The vet clinic we use has multiple vets. During one of our puppy visits, I got a vet that talked down to me and drew out little pictures to show me what she was sensitive to. We did change her diet to exclude wheat as much as possible but I hated how he talked to me. When making appointments, we request a certain vet. So far, he hasn't talked down to me for our choices.

Especially given there's no guarantee that they will improve. I get it, we love our pets. But there comes a point where you have to let them go. Our doggie is not nearly so bad. We have determined that it is not food allergies, it appears to be environmental. He will scratch mostly if he is not otherwise occupied, but obviously we cannot keep him occupied all of his waking hours. My neighbor's daughter is a vet in another state and he called her to ask her for us. She told us to try baby Benadryl in a very low dose to start to see if that helped. It did help somewhat, so she suggested we slightly increase the dosage. We are doing the best we can and that's all we can do. He is a happy and healthy dog for the most part. Much improved from when we rescued him. We have willingly spent incredible amounts of time, energy and love on this doggie. The kicker to me is that financially speaking, we have paid out over $1500 at the vet's already since we rescued him last fall. That does not include his maintenance meds for thyroid and flea/heartworm, etc. So it's not like we have refused him treatment even when it cost us substantial money. I really did not appreciate being told that I am being uncaring because I "refuse" to spend $4K. It's not refusing if you don't have that kind of money. Especially when the allergist office themselves told me that we could spend that much money and be no better off. Obviously I will be looking for a new vet.
