That's amazing! I can't imagine ever getting to the point where my son can fly. I seriously wish there would be a safe way to knock him out for the duration of the flight if we ever tried.

That's great elaine . I've always had good experiences with Southwest. Maybe you should keep a few bags of the peanuts for the plane trip home - just in case they don't serve them on that flight. Enjoy your trip. Except that, if they don't serve peanuts on the flight, it may be because they have that flight set up to be peanut free, so while it's a good idea to save a few extras, be sure that you can actually open them and won't be contaminating a clean space. Glad you had a good flight, elaine . Enjoy your vacation. Oops! As someone who doesn't have a peanut allergy, I didn't think about that.

That's great! We always fly WestJet (Canadian) and I follow their Facebook page and it's story after story of positive posts. Little things like extra (or a lot extra) snacks or big things like they switched a flight at no extra charge. Yeah there is complaining too but more positive.
I've only been on one flight when they announced not to open any nut snacks. So there must have been someone with quite the severe allergy. How scary for that person.

I was on a plane once and had one of those breakfast packs of nuts and raisins etc. I pulled it out of my bag and the woman next to me very politely asked that I be careful opening it because she was highly allergic. I immediately put it down and was reaching for my bag to put it up, when she told me to please go ahead and eat my snack, she would be fine, she had her epi pen, but just open it towards the window instead of toward her. Um, no. I thanked her, but told her that I did not need the snack and could certainly wait until we landed. There was no way I was opening those nuts next to her.

When I traveled with my elderly father, Southwest was so nice and kind to us, and made sure that he (and I) had everything we needed before, during and after the flights. they do know how to do customer service.

Southwest does have great customer service . They should do an inservice for the other airlines!
