While organizing my embellies, I noticed some things that never really get used. Mine is washi tape.I'm challenging myself to use washi on the next 5 pages. Will you take the challenge too? What challenge will you choose for yourself??
A couple of people have expressed interest in making this a monthly challenge, so hey why not? Whatever element you want to challenge yourself to use is up to you, also however many pages you want to use that element is also up to you- that way everyone has their own challenge within the challenge- Make sense? Lol

dasmith2 , I will SEE your washi tape and RAISE you some heavy metal! How about 5 projects with some metal on each? I have brads and eyelets and charms and SB foils that can be diecut and embossed. And if I run out of the foil in my stash, I can grab some aluminum foil from the kitchen. And linda , I don't have a QK but I DO have a ton of dies. And several are matched with stamps. Going to try to use some this month

This is the stupidest thing.
Paperclips. I have arrow paperclips, little clips with cutout shapes, spiral paperclips, ...
Well, I made up a kit today to use up some flip flop paperclips of all things, on a Hawaii themed page. We've never been there, but the kids had a Hawaiian Day at school during spirit week.
(One pineapple on the page, but no flamingos.)

I really won't be scrapping this month except hopefully one day so let me think what I would be able to use that I usually don't.
That's hard because I use everything but the kitchen sink. I will watch this thread and see what pops up. right now I'm thinking maybe I will stamp on a page. I have some stamps and ink but I use the ink for distressing, no actual images. Iheartpaper sent me a little globe stamp I can use for some teacher pages. But it probably won't be five pages!

dasmith2, great job using the washi  This challenge isn't as painful as I thought it would be, but it is challenging. I matched up 2 more layouts with paperclips. One is in a crop kit for later this month, and the other I'll do this weekend. So, that makes (potentially) three for me. I'm getting there...

But wait, there's more lol I found some Jillibean Soup die cuts that I had wanted to add- didn't find them until I took first picture, so either pic you can certainly add to your Pinterest( I didn't even know that was a thing!!) I loved your page- saw it first thing this a.m. its so pretty. I struggle with girl pages but I love them. This is the page with the added die cuts (just one by the photo and the colorful music notes  . |

It's like the Bash It challenge, but on a much smaller (and for me, more manageable) scale. Plus, if it's just one small element, I can go back and add it to an older layout that might need a little something extra, and it could still count as one of my 5. |

I love when I see other people use patterns that aren't themed and I struggle with that. It's wonderful how you made a bright fun layout with a dark paper, and made red and pink work well together! |

I am always adding things to my pages that I find later on lol. I will make it a monthly challenge- whatever element and number of pages they want to use it on is up to the individual. I know I have a list of things I could challenge myself to use! |

Here is my 5th layout using ribbon. I liked the look of the ribbon tied with twine so much that I did it again. I think I probably only used up about 24 inches of ribbon on all 5. It was fun to think about how I could use or add ribbon when I normally wouldn't have.  |

found out I am really lacking red washi..... not sure that's what I wanted out of this challenge  That sounds so like me! Love your layouts. 1. Your Donut Day layout is so festive. I really like the washi running down the whole page like paper strips. I'll have to remember to do that. 2. Catnip is totally adorable. I love the blocking and colors. 3. I love the colors on your page about your dog. Sounds like trouble. 4. Big/Lil Bro: I left love on this one in the gallery this morning. So cute. Love the colors and how you layered and your embellishments here. Great pictures too. |

Awesome pages, dasmith2! And congratulations on meeting the challenge you set for yourself! Don't feel bad about realizing you NEED more washi. That is part of playing with your stash: you find out how much fun those products are, and because you have used so much you get to buy more without feeling guilty! I started the month thinking I would need challenges to keep me going through my Home Alone crop weekend on NSD, but didn't even get to this one because once I dived in, supplies and papers were flying everywhere and pages just seemed to make themselves. |
