Sometimes I use Scotch tape to stick together six 4x6 photos into a 12x12 square, and I call it done. No embellies, no title, not even any paper

My pages are all in albums but my albums are a hot mess. I don't scrap chronologically. So one album could have layouts of my grandparents as teens, my teens as babies and last months Disney pages. I also buy tons of Disney papers and embellishments but never use them because the red/black/yellow doesn't coordinate with my photos. OMG yes, I am addicted to buying Christmas and Disney papers but seldom use them! I'm also addicted to TM, can't help just stopping by every Wed after work "just to look" and end up buying a pile of stuff I really don't need.

It's not something I do...but something I think about. I hate how everyone scraps children all the time, whether they're their own or simply related. There are more things to life than children. Where are your stories? Sorry if that was harsh. I wish I could find a way to tell stories of more than my kids. I just don't know WHAT stories to tell. I'm honestly less sad about not having stories about ME than I am about not having stories about my husband and I. But with one or the other of us behind the camera all the time, it's hard to get pictures of the 2 of us alone (my 6 year old is starting to enjoy taking pictures, so it might become a case of having him take pictures from time to time if I ever remember) to tell our stories...there's only so many selfies I can scrap and have almost everything look the same. It's so much easier looking at my kids and seeing what is important to tell...so much changes every single day with them. It's obvious what to talk about...although I need to do a better job recording their personalities and not just things they do. The things that make my husband and I work well has been a relatively well oiled machine for so long that it's normal...I don't really see the story in it. I feel emotional looking at pictures of us, but I don't know how to pinpoint what exactly to say. So no, not harsh...it's a very accurate perception. I didn't feel like I had anything worth documenting until I had my first child and he's why I started to scrapbook, so that's part of it, too.

I steal photos off of friends and families Facebook pages to scrap! I do it a lot from my grown son and Dil's pages. They have such fun adventures with their friends. I want him to have those photos in the future.
I do not have one set style. I like several different styles and it depends on my mood which one I do.

it's not a dirty little secret, necessarily, but I don't ever make gushy, emotional pages that talk about my feelings, and I don't feel bad about it. I pretty much do who, what, when, where, why journaling.
we don't have kids, so there's no one to 'leave my scrapbook legacy' to. (I'm guessing the dogs won't want it, lol!) I scrapbook stuff we do around our house, our dogs / cats, and places we go. I very rarely write how I feel about things at all, but if I did, it wouldn't be written in marshmallow-y, flowery language... I don't talk like that, so writing my SB journaling like that feels forced to me.
(I make art journaling pages if I want to write about my feelings- and no one gets to read those, ever.)

I'm also not a storyteller. My journaling is basic who, what, where. When i read a lot of the loooong emotional journaling done by scrap celebs i think, nope, not interested.

I am another that just does who, what, where and when - if I even do that. I hate journaling and I have watched my DS look at my pages and he does a quick glance at the pictures and "done". There will be no one after him that would care (his son is special needs) so why torture myself doing what I hate ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/Q_m8lDOvc_3Le3r1GKdf.jpg)

Oh so many! I don't care about acid free. I use glue sticks. I put as many pictures on double page layouts as I can. I usually scrap chronologically. I scrap events. My layouts go directly in the album when I'm done. I mat my photos almost all the time. I don't know who most of the scrap celebrities are. I don't care about brand names. I use product that is up to 20 years old. I'm so much the opposite of trendy!

I really, really want to like to stamp but I just don't...I never have no matter how much I have tried to. It's just not my thing. But the ironic thing is I love to make cards. It is kind of my way of letting others know I care and am thinking of them.

While I think that others do it well, and I enjoy watching their videos, I just can't get into the ultra layered and embellished pages (like Shimelle does) in my own books. I mostly do pocket pages, and I love embellishing my own pocket cards, using stamps and bling and the occasional splatter but I still like things to look even and balanced on my pages. I'm not at all trendy, but I don't really care!

I steal photos off of friends and families Facebook pages to scrap! I did that from a complete stranger's FB. Well actually it was set up to tell their story, so not truly a private FB page. The story was a tear-jerking story of complete strangers coming together to save a hurt dog from the top of a mountain. My mind was blown away.

I love the thought of watching scrapbook videos but ALWAYS 5 minutes into them I am sleepy.
I won't use glue sticks though.. because my first album from 20 years ago, all the pictures started falling off about a year later. So I always use decent adhesive (it doesn't have to be the expensive kind either).. I do use the little squares and have been known to cut them in half to make them last longer. (I also HATE buying the adhesive, page protectors and albums)
I once actually took a lighter to a piece of paper to get the burned look on the edges. So it wasn't a look I guess, it was real.. LOL..
Oh (edited to put in).. My stash which is huge (like everyone else's) probably less than 5% has been bought online. I couldn't even tell you the last time I ordered something scrappy... OH I did order some blades on Amazon for my Sizzle knife that I brought out of retirement.
Acid free and stuff like that I don't really care about.
AND lastly I also cannot line up a photo and mat and have it exactly straight.. no matter how hard I tried. Maybe I should try it drunk once and see if I can make it happen.

I don't like white backgrounds/multimedia (For ME. It's not my style.) I can't use most to save my life. (Also, not my style.) And, I HATE glitter, and very rarely (only if it's a small part of a pattern) use pink.

I won't use my handwriting on a layout.
Also, I have to consciously restrain my journaling or all of my pages would be 100% story. Therefore, I arrange the photos and bits on the page first and generally decide that journaling would spoil the final look (plus, there's rarely enough room left). My journaling is usually on the back of my layouts.

I still like paper piecing. A LOT. And I always, always, always must chalk the edges of the pieces. Every time I don't, I end up hating it and having to go back after the fact to chalk it.
I buy all kinds of stuff that I probably will never, ever use. I have great intentions but a lot just never gets done.

I don't do project life.....the idea removes all the fun for me...maybe I just like cutting things up I started with PL and I find it so much harder to accomplish than regular layouts. It's the compartmentalization, I guess. I don't take enough photos to have multiple sizes or orientations of them. So sometimes I have too many 4x6s or too many 3x4s. A scrapbook layout can be any photo size. So much more versatile. The one thing I do like about PL, though, is that it's easier to capture the mundane or ordinary.

I cram as many photos onto a layout as I possibly can. That's the way I like it, so that's the way I do it. Tiny little photo in the middle of an embellishment extravaganza is just not for me. Too many photos would get left behind.

I don't care about things like archival quality materials. I'm only doing this for my own enjoyment, and have no intentions of my scrapbooks outliving my husband and I. And that's perfectly fine.

I will use supplies I have had for years on pages and have no idea of the brand names lol ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/MNrJDkDuSwqIMVw33MdD.jpg) . I scrap in no particular order and have random pages stored in random albums. I buy a lot I will possibly never use ![???](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/huh.png) I try to journal, but detest my hand writing so keep it to a minimum. Lastly I little, to no idea, on the latest trends in the scrapping world (however I am working on this one)

I do almost all my journaling on the computer and print it out. I don't care about archival either. I make my own mists from water and paint because I am too tight to spend that kind of money of what is essentially water and paint in a spray bottle. I use double sided tape that comes in a roll and I have to cut with scissors and I refuse to stop using it.

I don't like using black and white photos when I have the option to use the same image in colour. I use the white adhesive squares and almost always cut them in half before I use them. I've outgrown my current storage but refuse to find new storage solutions. Instead I tell myself I will use up enough stash to fit everything back into the space I have. Then I go and buy more pretty supplies. I bought a new laptop because my old one refused to open the silhouette studio software and after 90mins on an international phone call with one of the silhouette tech people unable to fix my problem I found my own (expensive) solution.

I don't journal. I write dates on back of layouts.
I don't scrap chronological
I most of the time scrap single layouts.
I don't care if it's acid free.
I scrapbook layouts sometimes with no photos & then later can't find the right photos to put on the layout.
I have 2 scrapbooks full of layouts with no photos...lol
I don't care. I just enjoy the process

ultra fine tip sharpies almost exclusively for my journaling Love Sharpies! I don't care about acid/lignin free. It's not even a consideration at any time in my scrapping Ditto! WOOHOOO! I just made chatterbox!!!! I DON'T use an ATG. No interest in having one. They're to big for me. I hate having to buy albums, page protectors and adhesive when I could spend that money on fun embellies instead! Me too. And that's why I don't own enough albums. I do not have one set style. I like several different styles and it depends on my mood which one I do Me too. Sometimes I'm linear, sometimes I'm messy. And my secret is that I don't care if my layouts aren't perfect. I cut crooked. I've misspelled.

-I do not make cards and I kind of hate receiving them because I don't want to toss them. So I keep them -I do not stamp except if I want that thing I cannot get any other way. I make a mess when I stamp - can't get a clean image to save my life. In fact I have put the actual stamp on my pages - the thin acrylic type.
-If I don't have the perfect theme to match my photos I will go back when I find the perfect paper and redo it. A page on cardstock looks very nice but I will not scrap with just cardstock until all my stash is depleted and cardstock is the only paper available anywhere.
-I love to look at my albums and if I see something not placed just right or would look better another way I move it right there and then. Next to my bed I have a trimmer, scissors a herma dotto and a zig pen. I sit and look at my albums and make needed corrections on the spot!
-I do not do kits, crafty projects or anything using scrap supplies except scrapbooks. If I have a kit I just use the pieces willy nilly and don't even look at the page instructions.
-I do not watch You tube videos or listen to podcasts about scrapping.

I don't know anything about design principles...I work off of a sketch or just arrange things on the page till they look right to me. I almost never bother matching the colors of the photos to the colors on the page. I go more by theme than color. Can I just say, I am shocked at how many people don't care about acid/lignin-free materials! ![](http://i1168.photobucket.com/albums/r481/2peasrefugees/Smilies/shocked.jpg.gif)

only about 1/3 of my scrapbook layouts are actually IN albums! I like making the pages and layouts, I just don't like arranging them in the albums... so they're in a couple of huge 12x12 Iris boxes. I know I need to do it, I just don't want to. So guilty of this!
