Remember, Ali Edwards (or Shimelle or whichever pro scrapper) does this as her job. Don’t feel like you have to make as many pages/projects as she does. (A friend told me this when I was lamenting how I wasn’t getting much done and behind on DD.)
The other is, always take a post-it pad to crops so you can write down whatever item you forgot that you want to add to your layout (and be sure to go back and add it at home!).

As long as we are resurrecting old threads can someone please bring back the thread about scrapbooking retreat/crop horror stories? I wish I could find it. Still the funniest thread I've read here. Isn't that thread in the History of the Peas ......

I saw this on instagram.com/everydaygoodness_studio?igshid=1nh2w132o8ol0She keeps a separate memorabilia album just for memorabilia. I thought this was such a great idea because I always toss bits and pieces of things in a basket and probably have years worth but I never actually remember to put it in my scrapbooks. I still love Stacy Julians books and her scrapbooking philosophies. Don’t worry about being caught up. A favorite now that I’m a parent: She makes a hanging file folder bin for each kid with a folder for each year of school before they even start school. Then it’s all ready to collect report cards, art, etc. Her idea is for her kids to leave home with their baby book and 2 “school of life albums”. Use your stash! This post is always one I try to remember when I am hoarding: balzerdesigns.typepad.com/balzer_designs/2018/11/wasting-supplies.htmlThis is a game changer for me! I have envelopes full of memorabilia waiting for when I complete a page. I’m excited to create a memorabilia album

So much good stuff on this thread. I'd add take notes. Even if it's just a couple of lines a few times a week, it makes a difference. I'm amazed at what I don't remember when I go back and re-read my notes from even just a few months ago.

She’s not a scrapper - more of a mixed media artist, but I have learned so much from LorriMarie Jenkins on YouTube. One thing she says is “always put on underpants first,” meaning put down a layer of ephemera, paint, texture paste, etc. That way, you’re not looking at an empty white page when you start a new project...it really helps with crafting mojo and jump-starting creativity.
She says adding layers, even if they are covered up in the final piece, creates more energy and intention - energy that can be felt. I love that idea.

Don't go back and re-do a page unless you really have to. Those older pages show your progression and change in style of the craft to your current pages. I still have my old junior high school/high school scrapbook with things scotch-taped in. So fun to see.

Not specifically scrapbook related, but I was just "ironing" some ribbon with my curling iron to make a fairy wand for my niece. I think I learned that tip here 😊
