Update: well she was Irish to the last and pullled an "Irish good-bye" a few hours ago. My brother and I were here all day and she waited until we both stepped out for a bit.
Thanks so much to everyone for your thoughts and prayers. I know she's happy to be free of pain and be reunited with my dad after such a long time apart.

OP
This really sucks.
She's been at nursing home since mid-March. Last weekend cousin said she was sleeping lots and unresponsive at times. Brother flew in and I drove up and convinced her it was time for hospice. We stayed three days to sort it all out.
We both came back this weekend and my DD came out on Sunday. She actually ate and we took her for a push around the lake and joked around. I went home and brother did too. 12 hours later I get a call from hospice saying now is the time to say your good-byes. I knew it wouldn't be long but that just threw me for a loop. Poor brother is a pilot and had one night at home in almost two weeks and he was back at airport coming here. Good thing he did come. Her last semi-coherent time was for a few hours after he got here. Now it's just waiting.
And of course she told me her funeral plans were made and paid for and told brother the opposite. So I am calling every place in the area like a weirdo seeing if anyone has a record. Then we found her will (I had most of her papers at my house and brought them with me). Yeah one will I'm in charge and the other one my brother is so that'll be fun to sort out. She's got two composition. Ore books and another legal pad all titled "what to do when I croak". LOL.
It's been just a stunning decline. I've worked in healthcare myself and still it has astonished me. Hospice nurse too. I'm hoping for her sake she passes soon. It's what she has wanted for a very long time and brother and I keep telling her it's OK to go be with our dad and older brother and so many others that have passed.
