Hey everyone! Dh ended up going to his high school reunion last night so I didn't need to feed him ... and as I've mentioned before, when he's not home I have no motivation to cook so the dd's and I had Wendy's  Tonight we will eat the fresh roasted chicken and mozza ravioli with a red sauce that didn't get eaten yesterday  The meme for today is one of my all time favs ... I love "dog shaming"   What's on your menu tonight? |

Hahaha Leanne! Love the photo. We're going out to a marching band parent get-together at a local pub so we'll either eat there or have last night's leftovers. Grilled shrimp and salmon and an antipasto salad I made last night: tricolor rotini, salami, sharp provolone, olives, marinated artichokes and mushrooms, pepperoncini peppers, yellow and red cherry tomatoes, red onion and baby spinach. Oil and vinegar dressing. Looks so pretty!

Oh, peano - that salad sounds delicious! We cat-shame all the time in our house, leannec . Love it! Tonight we are finally celebrating dd's graduation from grad school. She has requested bbq chicken, green beans, a kind of red potato dish I make that only involves cutting the potatoes into triangles (you are not the only one with a picky kid, leannec ) and molasses cookies. Love the dog shaming. I used to have a dog that ate walls, door frames, etc. Anything to try to escape the house if he was stuck here alone.  Dinner tonight will continue to be spaghetti casserole. Unless I get a better offer. |

Tonight I am serving roasted half of a chicken that will be seasoned with lemon, garlic, onion, thyme, rosemary, pepper, and salt. Along with that will be chilled cranberry sauce and steamed green beans. Oh and water mellon!
Dh will have dds tiki hut finished today!!! Woo hoo

tuesdaysgone, leftover pizza wouldn't make it past breakfast in this house. I think we will go Greek tonight. Grilled lemon oregano chicken breasts with Greek salad, pita & tzatziki. DH and I have to buy a new oven today and my head is exploding with decisions. When the heck did ovens start coming with Flex Duo Dual Doors with dividers to make your single oven into two? Do I need WiFi connectivity to adjust the time and temperature from my phone? My sister just bought a new oven with a steam feature. I don't know what I would steam in the oven? She doesn't either.  And to top it off, I really like the new black stainless finish but don't want/need to change any other appliances so should buy regular old stainless so they all match. Right?

Stick with your S\S ... we are in the process of changing ours over from white ... range is the only thing left and I'm hoping it dies soon so everything matches |

We bought ribs yesterday so I think we are having them. Not sure if DS will be home tonight or not. He has a SO now so we don't see that much of him. I got my wish so I am a very proud mother! I haven't met her, I don't know anything about her, I just told him that when he's ready we'd like to meet her. Those were the exact words I said to him about her. I haven't said a word since.

Note to self: do not cut jalapenos and then rub your eye!
We are having a BBQ today. Guests should be arriving any minute. On the menu is hamburgers and hotdogs. I made a pasta salad and a cucumber jalapeno salad as well as potato salad. It will be smores around the fire for dessert. And margaritas are on tap today.

miominmio - oh, I'm sorry to hear that, we'll miss you. I hope you come back soon. Finally got rid of all the leftovers so back to cleaning out the freezer. Came across some pork chops in some kind of mystery tomato sauce so it's that along with rice and steamed broccoli. Maybe something lemony from Wegman's for dessert.

I am currently frying the last of 125 meatballs. I prefer to make a bunch and freeze them. I multiplied the recipe by six, and there are more than usual falling apart, so I think less panade next time. Dh and ds are happy about the ones that fall apart though! They also shaped all but the first 30 meatballs- it was a condition of my standing over a hot stove for hours.
Anyway, we are expecting storms and have all these meatballs, plus the huge batch of sauce I made yesterday, so it is spaghetti and meatballs here, along with some Panera ciabatta from the freezer.
