Tonight only one ds and one dh will be home for dinner. So, it might likely be more leftovers or gyoza and rice. I'm supposed to be taking it easy for tmw. I'll behave.
What's on your menu?
Have a great Thursday.

In a total shock move, tonight I will be having . . . . . . . . .SALAD! Tonight's accompaniment will be falafel, which are rolled and ready to cook when I get hungry.

We're having steak and a sweet potatoe. I do have some frozen okra that my MIL gave me but not sure what to do with it besides making fried okra.

We are going to be at the ball field from about 4:45-8pm tonight. I'll be making egg salad sandwiches to take with us to eat there. Will also bring chips, fruit and energy bites.

The meal I was supposed to make last night was still frozen, so I quickly thawed some hot dogs and had DS grill them (even though he wasn't eating LOL). Tonight will probably be the chicken tacos even though I really want a cheesesteak from Jersey Mike's

I'm making courgette and oozing mozzarella omelette (the recipe book's description!) with salad and ginger and garlic sweetcorn. It's too hot to cook though! I've got my door open but it's so windy it keeps slamming shut!

I have to take DS for a haircut tonight. Why the kid bothers getting a half inch trimmed off his shaggy head is beyond me. It's not even worth the $40! I also need to hit the grocery store. It's either going to be something take out most likely Subway or I'll just go to the store tonight and we'll eat sandwiches.

It looks like only DS will be home tonight and I just made up a big bowl of tuna salad. He can have tuna melts for dinner or make himself tortellini & pesto sauce. They take about the same time & effort, but one results in more dirty dishes. I'm curious to see which direction he goes because he'll be doing the clean up.

Tonights plan is to have chicken fried rice. I have already made the rice.
I haven't cooked for days...dh has been working out of town and I haven't seen the point in cooking when he isn't around. Meanwhile Kait and I have enjoyed Panda Express, Qdoba, Subway, Wendy's, and cereal!!

Tonight we are going to the town 30 miles east of us to watch tumbling rehearsal. We go to rehearsal because the "big" program is Saturday night and takes about 3 hours part of which is the teachers performing which ticks me off to no end, it's suppose to be for the kids not the teachers. So we go to the rehearsal and just stay until the one we want to see does her group routine. So I don't know if we will eat at home or stop for something on the way home since the rehearsal is at 4. I heard a rumor that the group we want to see is about 5th on the stage so we might be out of there by 5 and on our way home. If so we will have some sort of chicken with steamed brussel sprouts and potato salad. Hopefully the last night for the potato salad. It has held it's flavor really well this week.......
Happy Thursday Everybody!

Grilled chicken, sauteed zucchini, onions and mushrooms, and green salad.
Unseasonably HOT here, but perhaps we'll have a storm at grilling time!

No idea there's a pork loin roast in the fridge and a flank steak.
I'm thinking the pork - but the steak might be quicker so it depends when I get home

I'm still recovering from a loooooooong day of graduation ceremony ... hair appointment ... banquet and dance for Picky #1's graduation yesterday I was up at 4am and didn't get to sleep until about midnight I won't bore you all with reposting photos of Emma ... they are on the "Another prom thread" thread I think dh was more emotional about his little girl reaching this milestone than I was ... I managed to hold it together Tonight I'm just heating up a couple of Costco frozen pizzas for the dd's, dd #1's boyfriend and me ... easy peasy

We went to Costco early today and bought butter chicken for DS and I. I like korma better but their butter chicken is half decent so I got it. I need to get some jasmine rice at the store.
My dad did leave me a grocery shopping list for later today because he is sweet like that. We are having company tomorrow night. New neighbours moved in and we are having them for dinner. They decided to leave the kids at home even though they were invited.

Meatloaf sandwiches - that's the only reason we have meatloaf is to have meatloaf sandwiches the next day.

I bought salmon to make but had to stop st my friend's house. Coincidentally it's the anniversary of her sister's suicide and she's upset so I'm still here. No idea when I'll get home to cook.

Fried cabbage, corn, and yellow squash with fried eggs and really grainy toast. Super flavorful with herbs and such, but I dropped two eggs on the floor trying to season it all at once.
Dh is watching the ball game and eating ice cream. I told him his hand is gonna turn into a waffle cone.
Thanks for the thread.

I didn't have to cook tonight because DH came home with Chinese takeout. He enjoyed it, but I wasn't in the mood so I ate very random food: Goldfish crackers, grapes, potato salad.
My first day home for the summer and I'm loving it! Walked a couple miles in the cool of the morning, worked in the garden, read a book and met up with a dear friend for shopping. Ahh, summer!

I have some chicken thighs marinating in (don't ask) coconut rum and lime juice. Will indoor "grill" on the stove top as I don't BBQ. Plus baked potatoes which I hardly ever make, and steamed carrots/broccoli/zucchini which I make all.the.damned.time. teddyw, you're a true friend.

I'm going out for dinner to a pub bistro with a big group of people from high school tonight. I'm on a very tight budget at the moment, plus I'm only going to stay for a little while because I need to get home and do some more sanding and painting, so I'm probably only going to have an entree or light meal.
I quite like the sound of the Triple Pork Burger: Brioche bun with crispy pork belly, smoky BBQ pulled pork, grilled bacon rasher, cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato and apple cider aioli.

I feel the same - definitely no point in cooking! If DSO and the kids aren't home I'll eat breakfast for dinner (eggs and bacon), take away Fish & Chips, Vegemite on toast, soup and bread (apparently soup isn't a "real" meal so I only make it for myself). Unfortunately DD still expects real food if the others aren't home so I can't get away with it if she's there.
