Drive...don't walk! Especially with small kids. It's a HUGE ass bridge to walk over I remember the long walk. ha ha. It wouldn't be my first choice. But I also would stay at least two nights and not be rushed if it was up to me.

We are going the third weekend in july. We are coming from Pittsburgh. Just a quick stop with family members from out west. We were just going to stay on the american side. But We just read that kids under 16 don't need a passport just their birth certificate. All of the adults have passports. So now we are rethinking our trip. We are still only driving up on Friday morning and leaving on Saturday sometime. So a short trip. We are deciding if we should keep our hotel on the American side and just walk over to the Canadian side. The in laws are scared that the traffic will be too bad since its a summer weekend and our trip is so short. And we will have lots of young kids Anyone have any advice? Definitely drive. The bridge is so long the kids will be worm out before you get there! I loved staying on the Canadian side, so much to do. We're going to go explore the other side tomorrow.

Tonight's view. Priceless. We're so worn out. We're sitting here with the lights off drinking a bottle of local wine and watching the lights. Mesmerizing.

Beaver tails are more Ottawa area. My Mom was there 2 years ago and they had them, she was in Ottawa this month and searched for them again. Niagara location: " We are located on the corner of Clifton Hill and Oneida Lane"

StephDRebel my mouth is watering!!! The closest one to me is over 8 hours away in Banff NP. Curse you Jasper NP for not having one, that's where we go! imsirius I just didn't want her to miss out! I've never been to Niagara Falls only Toronto, once. We are planning to go to some Jays games again so we will go to see the falls then for sure.

I had never seen the beaver tail stand there. We were there in May. They are a definite not miss!

I found a cute b&b not far from the falls that will have us tonight. On the Canadian side. Reviews say she makes the best breakfast ever so I think we're going to go ahead and book it for 2 nights Is maid of the mist better than the boat ride from the other side? Any recommendations for food that can't be missed? two totally separate boat companies. go on the maid of the mist on the US side and then head over to the cave of the winds.

Never been there, but every single time I hear "Niagra Falls" I hear this in my head: "Niagara Falls! Slowly I turned ... step by step ... inch by inch" from the Three Stooges. www.youtube.com/watch?v=MYP1OBZfFK0 I remember that routine as done by Abbot and Costello!
