Tomorrow is a big day for us. My oldest started back to college a week ago (senior year) out of state, my middle ds starts his junior year in high school tomorrow (and catches the bus) and my youngest ds starts kindergarten which I will drive as it is a private school and no busing. Big day for us! I will stay for a bit tomorrow as they ask parents to stay for the first chapel day. After that my day is open. I am giving myself room to breath and just be tomorrow. Maybe all week. I have a couple groups and studies signed up for the fall but nothing starts up this month. Actually we are still finishing up one from the summer but that is tomorrow evening. My dh is in sales and so the end of the month is a hectic time for him.
Anyone else starting tomorrow or this week?

My kids go back on Wednesday. They are both really excited. One is in 2nd grade and the other 7th.

Tomorrow. I was telling DH today that this summer felt like a Christmas break, because it went so fast. I'll have a 4th grader, fifth grader, a freshman (first day of high school), and a senior  . |

Mine go back on 9/3. Part of me is ready for them to go back (they are fighting all. the. time. My son can't breathe without setting my daughter off.) and the other part is sad for them to go back. I will miss them.

My 3 go back tomorrow. It's bitter sweet since my oldest will be a Sr and my baby is going to middle school. My middle 1 will be a 10th grader.

I started back last week for our professional week, but my students start tomorrow. My kids also start back tomorrow. Can't believe I have 2 fifth graders and a seventh grader! Ack! Where'd the time go?

We don't start until 9/2. A while back, MI made it a law that schools cannot start until after Labor Day with the exception of colleges. Most of those are starting this week. We do have a back to school night this week to find out if there are any specifics needs for school. One is ready, the other not so much.

DS starts his sophomore year tomorrow. DD will start the fall term of her freshman year in college on Wednesday. But she's already done an August term, so its kind of not her first day, really. But it will be her first day of a regular semester.

We start Tuesday! DS is starting at the middle school - 6th grade. And the girlies will be in 4th grade. The girls are super excited...ds not so much. LOL

My nephews go back tomorrow. They are not excited. They just told me they are going into the 3rd grade and the 5th grade. I thought they were going into the 2nd grade and 4th grade. They live in my house how did I miss a grade. I kept saying are you sure and they started yelling back at me YES WE ARE SURE!!

Our schools started back August 6th. We generally get out mid-May though.

Dd is starting back tomorrow, and finishes the year in June. Oldest dd started last Thursday but gets out mid may.

We all start tomorrow. Well, I've been back for two weeks with in-service, but the kids go back tomorrow. And I just realized that, for the first time, I'm the only person in this house who goes to elementary school!

Almost everyone in my state is back to school except for 2 districts. My kids go Tuesday and I am SO happy! Little scared because my youngest will be in a functional skills classroom at a new school. It will only be 1/2 day. I will be driving them all to and from school this year. Not looking forward to that, but can't have my daughter riding a bus with older kids (she has Aspergers).

We always start the day after labor day. DD always has mixed feelings this time of year. Excited to see her school friends but sad to say good-bye to her friends from summer child care.

We all start tomorrow. Well, I've been back for two weeks with in-service, but the kids go back tomorrow. We had three days and all but 2 hours was in class. The two hours we had were extra hours we had to put in for open house. It was a 12 hour long day! |

My youngest starts up 2nd grade on Wednesday. He's pretty excited, and so am I! He needs that structured time of school, and one kid out will mean less fighting, right?  The other two kids start up their online school the day after Labor Day. |

My kids are entering their 4th week of school this week! Many Georgia counties started back the 1st week of August.

Dd has been in school for two weeks now. She came down with a cold yesterday so looks like she will be staying home tomorrow. She always catches a cold about the second or third week of school.

My hs daughter starts back tomorrow. I've been back at school since last Monday, but my students don't start until Wednesday. (I teach in a different distract than where we live)

We start week three tomorrow too. I hate going back so early. Our summers seem really short! We get a fall break, the whole week of T'giving and several teacher in-service days. I almost wish we would cut out some of the off days so we could start later and still end before Memorial Day. ::sigh:: I want more of my kid in the summer! meredith |

Our two youngest kids started school July 31st. Just dropped off our son this weekend for his freshman year of college, he starts tomorrow.
