This is a s/o of this thread. What stickers, icons, chipboard would we like to see and find useful for our scrapbooking? Stars are a classic. I kinda really like geotags. Especially if they don't have sayings with them. Hexagons are good for layering. Hearts are good for some pages. Arrows are good. Help me come up with other icons that would be good and useful.

I don't mind cameras. They're never too irrelevant when you're scrapping photos. :-)

Labels (is that an icon?) I can usually use things like trees, cars, coffee cups. Those things that appear in everyday life. A small amount of cats, dogs, etc.

Balloons and confetti are good for any celebration. Arrows and stars, for sure.
I often use seasonal themes. I like Suns and various representations of light. Especially in summer. Love leaves for fall. We get gorgeous colours here, but only for a short time. And I hate going out in the snow, but I love snowflakes for winter lo's. Clouds and umbrellas are nice for spring.
I am always on the lookout for sport themed papers, and really like the generic sayings, like "Play hard!" "Go, team, go!" And I am always running out of backgrounds like football fields, hockey ice, and baseball diamonds. Would like to see more equal time for genders in sports: girls playing hockey, guys skating.
And for the road trip lines, maybe a kids car seat?

How about NO ICONS? Just a nice, useful pattern -- I'm thinking very retro and the early days of Basic Gray - Black Tie, Sublime, Motifica .. some beautiful patterns that would go anywhere! I still have some older Kay & Co - the blue/green dot and pattern ... can't think of name, but I loved it but it did have some pink... No Icons just GREAT paper!

I like images in chipboard or other embellishments, not so much on paper.
I want everyday type things like stars, cameras, trees, flowers, . Not llamas, foxes, pineapples, etc. I make an exception for flamingos, because I love them.

I make an exception for flamingos, because I love them. I have been looking at the flamingo papers and wondering what I would ever do with them, even though I loved them. Then last week, we were on vacation and the restaurant at our hotel had Flamingos on all the tables, and cut out flamingos hidden in the courtyard garden where the restaurant was. Not sure why - we were in the south of France - but now I need something with flamingos for those photos.

I think that there does need to be some of that quirky stuff, because there are people out there that like it and want to use it. That being said, it doesn't need to be on every paper, or in every line, by every company!!! That is what I hate. One company comes up with something and they all seem to follow along. Anyway...I also like the everyday general type stuff. Arrows, cameras, hearts. But, I don't want the same exact things on every layout. So, it is nice to see these things in different shapes, colors, styles. Awhile back I was looking for stuff related to food and eating out/dining at a restaurant. I had trouble finding anything at all that worked. Lots of kitchen and baking stuff, but not restaurant. So, that would be something I would like to see.

My most used universal items are:
* hearts * stars * cameras * arrows * labels * tags * frames * enamel dots * sequins * twine * washi if I remember it
What I use a lot just because of my family: * owls * butterflies * birds * acorns * would love to see some small realistic looking not cartoon-y dragons.

Clocks is the only one I can think of that hasn't been mentioned (although I may have missed it.) I agree with cameras, hearts, stars, suns, clouds, snowflakes.

Hearts, stars, cameras and labels. I also like the weather ones mentioned. These are of course in my mind for embellishments. I can't turn down a good stripe in terms of patterns, plaids are also a hit for me, as are polka dots for paper.

To me a "random icon" would be glasses, ampersands, moustaches, chandeliers, bird cages, pineapples, and coffee cups. That sort of thing. The kind of stuff you find in collections that has nothing to do with anything about the theme of the collection, it's just randomly thrown on the matching sticker sheet in the collection's colors.
Useful icons that I like would be things like flowers, hearts, stars, arrows, circles, hexagons, geotags, label shapes and banner shapes,

ITA with all of the suggestions. What I would also like to see are different things in different collections ........as in not the same icons in every line...AC tend to be guilty of that especially There was that flora1 line...carta Bella I think ,that was obviously floral, but not every line from that company is floral....and so on

I agree with a lot of the icon suggestions mentioned- for embellishments rather than paper. For paper I mostly prefer easy to use less obtrusive patterns, but I do I corporate some brighter/larger designs from time to time.

I'm so tired of one collection having a pineapple, so they all have them suddenly. Just stop.

I don't mind all the emojis, per se, but I'd like to see the ones that are of other things besides the faces. I'm kind of over arrows but love the tags and the wood veneer bars that have tails at the ends and the banner shape.

I use hearts on pretty much every layout I do. They are my absolute favorite & I never get sick of them. I'd like to see more art supply icons (pencils, water color sets, pens, journals etc). Love the idea of restaurant stuff. It would be nice to see more trees/nature related things that aren't cutesy or camping related. I'd also like better stuff to document work. A lot of my life is spent @ my job.

Agree with the most mentioned: hearts, stars, arrows, cameras, geotags. OMG! Autocorrect wanted to change geotags to genitals!!!!! Probably won't use too many of those!!!

Arrows, stars, hearts, butterflies (probably too random for most), gears, clocks, flowers (but I'm picky about the right ones),...
Could someone post an example of using geo tags? I had to google and was like oh that's what they are called!

I like adventure-y things. I think it's a theme type of supply that is pretty versatile. My DH does adventure bike-racing and DS is a Boy Scout so it works for both of them, but it works other ways too. I'm going back to school, so that's an adventure for me and I used a chipboard word "Adventure" for a title of me zip-lining. ( As adventurous as I care to get).
Map paper, compass icons, geo-tags, arrows, and stars are used frequently by me in my scrapping.

Could someone post an example of using geo tags? I usually use them in clusters or with my title. Here's a couple from my gallery.

I use stars and hearts probably more than anything and can't go past a good blank label. Florals are not really an icon but I love layering with them and feel like there are never enough in die cut packs/sticker sheets. I love banner shapes especially on labels.
In my ideal world collections would have a good mix of basic supplies that are non themed and then have additional pieces that are themed to that release.

I like hearts, stars, and flowers. I also like butterflies, birds (no owls please) and dragonflies if I can find them. I'm also a fan of random stuff and will buy collections of ephemera to add to my pages.
