I am going to a ladies event at a friends church and they requested I bring cookies. They requested the famous 2peas Belle Magic cookies so I am making those today. I made the dough yesterday and planned on baking them last night but ended up waiting. I just pulled them out and will let them cool and will frosting them in a bit. I haven't made them in forever and I am not eating whites (flour, sugar, etc.) at this time so dang I don't even get to eat one. I make them with almond flavor (I do a touch of vanilla and a touch of almond) or lemon but I did almond this time. I made the frosting a light blue before but that was in the winter. If you haven't made these yet you should try them sometime! The recipe folder on this site. That makes me so happy we have a recipe folder! Anyone one else baking today?

I want to, but both my kids are off doing manly things for manly men with their dad, so any baking I would do would end with me being the only one eating it. While that isn't a bad thing in theory, in practice eating an entire cake probably isn't such a good idea.

One of these days I am going to have to make those Magic cookies, I have read about them for years!
I love to bake, but with just dh and I if I bake it I will eat it. If I freeze it I will still eat it. So unless it is a special occasion, I refrain from baking.

Don't think I'll be baking today, it's too hot, and we have the a/c running. I love those cookies, and that was one of the first things I saved when 2peas shut down! I usually do lemon, but I bet lime would be nice for summer...

Not today but yesterday I made a Dutch apple cake which was well received, especially when I added cream.

I've never made those cookies yet!
If I can find enough time in my day, I might make a batch of graham crackers for the boys.

I made muffins from a box mix. Does that count? They are triple chocolate and very hard to resist.

Not today, but I made the strawberry-yogurt bundt cake recipe that was posted on Ashley's cake thread yesterday, and it was delicious! We had friends over for dinner last night and gobbled it all up.

I am going to, sometime today. Have some ripe bananas, so going to make banana oatmeal muffins. The recipe is flour less and they are pretty good.

We went strawberry picking last week, so DD9 and I made some batches of fresh jam. I should make some fresh homemade bread to go with the jam.
I should also make some pumpkin bread to have for breakfast for the week.
But, today is going to be the first nice day in a while and I want to get the outdoor chores completed before I tackle anything in the house.

I'm making an apple crisp. I never ever make dessert, but my kids asked me last week "what's apple crisp", figure it's time I made one. Now to find a healthy-ish recipe...

Brownies are calling my name and I recently bought cocoa powder for no bake cookies. It would be a shame to waste the resources if I don't make them soon...

Cherry Crisp. First thing this morning, DH was climbing the yellow cherry tree in our front yard.

If you count Lazy-It-Came-From-A-Box as baking, then yes I did. I made these -- they are tasty!

Not me, it's way too hot here. Plus, I shouldn't eat any goodies anyway, and won't leave them alone if they are here.

Not today but tomorrow I'll be back to my scone baking. I still have a ton left to make for the wedding. Since I'm doing small batches (just two dozen per batch) it's been a lot easier than I thought to do lots of flavors. It's been really fun and a lot less stressful than the sewing.

We baked sugar cookies today which went with my girls to a pool party, and then I made homemade pizza dough which was used to make pizza out on the grill. First time doing pizza on the grill and it was awesome! Definitely a technique I'd like to keep playing with this summer.

It is too hot here to bake. But I have to ask - how do you make cookies and not even eat ONE? That is some crazy willpower!
