I keep my old pair in the car. I'm paranoid about my glasses breaking or getting lost, so having the spare in the car puts my mind at ease, that way I can go out and and get them if something happens at home, and I'll have them with me if something happens while I'm away.
I've been paranoid since my glasses got washed clean off my face in the ocean years ago, and my husband had to drive my blind ass home!

Yup! As I age, my distance vision has improved and I no longer wear prescription glasses routinely but I keep an older pair in the car just in case...have used them rarely for night driving. and I have readers everywhere! Glad you got home safely!

I keep an old pair of prescription glasses in the glove compartment. I have had to rely on them several times, and I am always thankful they are there!

I keep a pair of prescription sunglasses in the car (there is a place to store them built into the roof). If I need them, I have them I used to do this, had a very nice pair of designer prescription sunglasses. Someone stole them out of my car, I haven't replaced them yet, but when I do I'll keep them in my purse.

I keep an old, emergency pair in my car for that very reason I do the same.
