Hi I need help. The masses want lettuce wraps for dinner tonight. What they are thinking is chicken with hoysin sauce and _____? But I am not sure how to make them. Does anyone have a recipe or any ideas where to find one? I looked on all recipes and wasn't inspired on there. Please help! is my go-to site for Asian inspired meals. I'm going to drive my fasting husband insane and grill a wild salmon tonight. If I serve it with a coleslaw the kids will make theirs into fish tacos.

We have friends coming over tonight to see our new (almost finished) kitchen. Their oven and BBQ have carked it so they're going to bring over some burgers – apparently some very nice burgers that they bought from a farmer’s market the other day. She’s also going to bring some lamb backstraps (now you’re talking!) and make a salad.

Last night's birthday celebration for DH was awesome! We shared a wild mushroom bruschetta for an appetizer then both had a grilled USDA prime skirt steak topped with caramelized onions & blue cheese butter on top of parmesan mashed potatoes and asparagus. When we got home we had double chocolate cake with vanilla bean ice cream. Tonight I'm thinking something along the lines of a spinach salad with grilled chicken, strawberries, sugar snap peas, avocado & mandarin oranges with a strawberry vinaigrette dressing. How's that for a descriptive post?  This all sounds yummy. So does the turkey & gravy. We've had no power so bacon & eggs on the grill. |
