Wasn't this the epic pea thread where a badge was made of a bird licking a stripper pole? That was birdgate. DD copied a bird design directly from a purse put out by a fashion company that was clearly far more than "inspired by".

What she did to the pea and birdgate is what immediately came to mind. She left a bad taste in my mouth.

Her copying artwork blatantly put her in the not an artist category. She could very well do mostly original work, but you never know now. What bothered me about not giving a refund to the woman with cancer is they DID refund another pea because of something very minor. I remember that post on the GS board. THEN, they sold the woman with cancer's spot to someone else when she said she could not attend.

She had the BEST pottery barn style scrapbook room years & years ago, ah man it was my favorite. Then i remember she got rid of it, got new furniture and moved more into art journaling.
Just makes me remember how much i miss those good old days of scrapbooking and the pea board. Ugh!!!

Wasn't this the epic pea thread where a badge was made of a bird licking a stripper pole? Cause that's what came to mind immediately when I read Donna Downey's name! Yep, that's the one!

It's not like the lady who asked for a refund because she was diagnosed with cancer actually had her cancer diagnosis planned. If Donna is that money hungry and has that little compassion for a fellow human being, then I don't want to have anything to do with her. For me, it wasn't necessarily about her NOT refunding the money. If they had a firm policy in place, then ok, that's the chance you take when you make reservations way ahead of time. What I thought was inexcusable was how they did not stick to their policy and refunded who they wanted and said no to the next person. It is even more disturbing when that person had cancer. I really enjoyed her work until her blatant ripoff of a copyrighted design.
