After this past year I need to do this. I didn't need anything to begin with :/ I just wanted to fit in. I could go without shopping ever. I know I will shop but I am good for quite a while. I'm going to try to last until Christmas at least though! I would like to make something even it's a card every day until then.
The only thing I can think of that I just might buy is organizational stuff. I need to house this stuff and even though I will purge I never completely organize it all properly. I am on a mission!

I don't think freeze is in my vocabulary but am definitely attempting to cut back & use what I have.

There is no way that I could freeze with Maggie Holme's new line coming out That said though, I have cut down A LOT on purchases (yay me) and organized.

I've never been able to do a full freeze, but especially since all the physical stores around me have closed, I'm much more thoughtful and deliberate about what I purchase (how much, how often and what items). I do have a wishlist based on the sneak peeks I've seen for upcoming collections so I'm waiting for some of those to hit online stores before I place an order.

Being frozen is not for me! Tried it once, and after my (very short) freeze, I spent much more than I usually do. It was kinda like dieting: I became obsessed with what I couldn't have and thought about it constantly. So now I'm refridgerated, not frozen.

I have more or less been frozen since February. The only things I bought were a pack of white cardstock, adhesive, gesso and watercolors (I wanted to play around with that type of stuff). I don't have an end date in mind but I want to whittle my 12x12 patterned paper collection down to nearly nothing which by my estimates will be about 70 pages. Hopefully, by then there will be a noticeable dent in other areas of my stash. :-)
Some times it's more difficult than others but overall it's not bad. There will always, always be a selection of products that I love available.

I am more in the "refrigerated" category as well. We moved this year and it really made me take a hard look at how many supplies I already have (even after purging). I don't scrap fast enough to even make a dent in the rate I purchase. So, I decided it was time to really slow down on the spending. So far, I have done really well this year.

I honestly don't buy much these days. Mostly just my CTMH stuff. But not a ton of that either. I'm also in organization mode and purging!

Thinking about freezing, but not sure I am quite there yet. Getting closer.
Good luck with your mission to use, organize, and purge!

I froze myself just before Two Peas closed down. It was really hard at first and I had several slip-ups but I have now gone several months without buying anything (even passed on the Webster's Pages warehouse box). I have been organizing and getting stuff out that I am not using. It feels so good!

I actually had some time to scrapbook on Sunday, and I was exhausted after going through all my stash to find what I needed for a layout. The upside is that when I went through my stash this weekend I found 3 packs of cardstock I had forgotten about. I really need to at least "refrigerate".

I have been trying not to buy anything except for adhesive. I am trying to use up what I have. Today was a "me" day and I challenged myself to make cards just using scraps. I was able to make 20 cards and the only thing I really had to cut up was a 12x12 black cardstock. I figured this was a start to using up what I have. The faster I can use up what I have the sooner I can shop

I was frozen for a few months but think it'll be more a case of being refrigerated for the rest of the year. I do have a budget I try and stick to though!

When I first saw this title I thought "freezing...where do they live. It's over 100° here!' Then I started reading the replies...LOL! Obviously, I can't ever think of scrapping & freezing together!

I've been frozen for a couple of years ~ I'm just starting to thaw, and I can't wait to go shopping again! I just need to convince myself there's something I actually need so I can give myself permission to buy it

I should but I need to get something new to get in the mood to scrapbook sometimes. It doesn't need to be a large purchase but even a small purchase like say a pack of enamel dots on sale will get me wanting to scrap. I try to buy something that will complement other things in my stash or some pictures I need to scrap.
We just moved and after moving my scrap room I realize I have way to much stuff. The problem is I still like most of the stuff left in my stash and could see myself using it. If I didn't like it or didn't think I would use it I purged it. I often go months without buying anything. I just went to a michaels in my new town and found a few cute things that I am looking forward to using and tonight I placed a large CTMH order. I think I am good for a while -well if I can find my stamp blocks. I can't find most of them and don't know where they are and don't remember what I packed them with. Oops.
I would love to do one of the 25 or 50 project challenges to put a little dent in my stash. I really should freeze until January but I will need to place an order or two to maintain my ctmh status. I don't want to drop being a consultant.

I consider myself "semi frozen", I really don't need anything but am allowing myself to buy versatile stamps, inks and the occasional must have. I am really trying to decrease the amount of stuff I own, I don't have a massive amount but I certainly have enough to keep me going for a year or two.

Love the term "refrigerated"!! That's me. I get a monthly "allowance" or "ration" and it typically all went to crafting items. I went in the freezer with the fb group and lasted until layout 46/47. Since then I just have let a smaller portion of my monthly ration go toward craft purchases - mostly been digi stuff since all my IRL stuff is still packed away. I will be unboxing classroom/craftroom items in mid September and will be purchasing organizational stuff at that time. --I'm so ready!!

I am frugal by nature and in the scheme of things buy VERY LITTLE compared to my online comrades...so nope, no freezing here! Just mindful purchasing, like always!
Good luck reaching your purchasing/organizing goals! It is good to have the organizing to focus on when you're attempting not to buy.

No, just because I haven't scrapbooked in 2 years. Finally got back into it in April when I made an album for my sister's new baby. Then started back on my photos.
I have always bought what I needed with a little extra of sheets or embellishments I really like. I have a small space so can't hoard. But it works and allows me to buy as new stuff comes in

There is a craft show in november here where I live, I want to stop shopping until then. But I do need some Halloween and Christmas paper so, that is going to be my last purchase.

Nope. I tend to go long stretches without going anywhere or buying anything, but then if I happen to get a chance to go somewhere good like to a retreat with other vendors or to Crafts Direct (or recently I went to Bargain Bill's and Tuesday Morning), I'll buy stuff if I like it AND I think I will have a use for it. That doesn't happen very often though. I thought I'd be in trouble when Hobby Lobby opened up here, but ours so far hasn't had all that much that excites me.

I haven't bought anything in the last couple of months. The only things I've gotten recently are a couple of WRMK albums and some cling foam for my rubber stamps, which to me don't count since they aren't fun items. I know I'll never be able to actually freeze, but for now I'm doing okay in the fridge.

I really need to freeze for a little bit-I've bought a ton of stuff at TM and I got the new Heidi Swapp PL stuff but have only made one layout in the last 4 months. i'm feeling really guilty about the amount of "stuff" I have sitting unused. I need to really start crafting before I buying anything (with the exception of adhesive) else. Maybe after I've scrapped 50 layouts, I can unfreeze.

I tell myself I'm going to freeze, even set a date, but then I go spend a ton of money and then go, "Well, I blew it, oh well!" I'm trying to get better, but it's SO DIFFICULT! I am addicted to craft shopping.

Not freezing but pushing myself to use more of my products. I spend too much time & energy on "organizing". If I would use more products from my stash, then a) no need to concern myself so much with "organizing" and b) could buy more current supplies to use up.
Freezing would only make me resent the fact that I am denying myself and focus on what I "can't" have. Wouldn't work for me.
