I think of myself as a funny person. I laugh at everything I do.

I'm no class clown, but I've been told I have a dry sense of humor. That's appreciated by some, but not all, people. Same for me. I have a very dry sense of humor, and throw out some good one-liners / quips that make people laugh. Not necessarily on purpose, it's just how my brain works. But I'm not the loud class clown or the joke telling type.

I think I'm pretty funny, not in a jokey or storytelling way (I've had some friends who were so good at funny stories!) but more of a funny comment or sarcastic way. I may just be amusing myself, though...

I think I'm funny, my office mates think I'm funny, my family thinks I'm funny, but you know who does not? All 3 of my kids. They look at me with great sadness when I say something funny and say, "Please tell me you didn't say that to anyone else," and then they look put their long-suffering looks on and sadly shake their heads.

I'm not funny on this message board, but irl I am. I've been told that I'm quick in my response to things and responding with a funny comment. I may not share my humor with people when I first meet them. In fact, people tell me that they were surprised once I started letting my humor show, because I seemed serious when they first met them. I guess I just don't feel comfortable showing it in the beginning. Probably because some of that humor is sarcasm and I know strangers won't get it.

I know what I think is funny.. It's that this thread is complete humorless bore, and that the funniest comment is the one made by the Pea who says she's not funny.

Here is my spirit animal. www.youtube.com/watch?v=bkjsN-J27aUMy youngest is pretty darn quick, sarcastic and sees the humor in 99% of every situation. When people tell him you are just like your mom, I am so very proud.

Do you make people laugh? Hopefully at your sparkling wit rather than your classic 80s perm! I can be quite quick sometimes - think Chandler Lite. My nephew is a really funny guy, and I always loved it if I made him laugh; it made me feel funny too! I can be quick and funny but I'm more reserved. I try to have sparkling hair/jewlery/make up / clothes to make up for my shyness.

No. I'm extremely sarcastic and bitchy. That reads as funny to some people. Other people not so much.

Nope, sadly.
I say things that in my head were fantastically funny, but when they come out of my mouth, they drop like a lead weight.

I have been compared to Roseanne so often I should be rich. My own son, who adores her, says I am just like her. I guess that's a good thing. I guess they mean it like it is.

My humor translates better IRL than on a message board. I do better when I know the people around me. Strangers or casual acquaintances, not so much.

No, not really. Among the Peas though, lainey always cracks me up with her one liners Yes, lainey is the first person I thought of too! I don't consider myself to be funny. I used to work with a girl who was hilarious, so funny and clever/witty. She was such fun to be around, I always found myself wishing that I was more like her. I could never understand why she was single, I kept thinking that my DSO would adore her (he loves to laugh). I would never introduce them, he might leave me for her haha!

My DD told me 'Mum, you are the best faker I know'. I asked what she meant and she said she loves how I'm an introvert, but I make everyone laugh and I get along with lots of people. DD says her and DH are awkward and I just know what to say.
