I also have an app that keeps track of all my activities. I prefer "activities" to the word "exercise" because I hate to exercise. When I was in Germany I walked a lot. It was easier there because the weather was nice and the views were amazing. I'm in Texas now and it's too damned hot to walk outdoors. So I find indoor activities like bowling, dancing, cleaning (yes, also not fun but the results of a clean house and working off some of my ass is worth it), and my handy dandy treadmill keep me active.

I really don't care for cardio as much, particularly the elliptical.I used to think I did because I could read or watch netflix, but that only made it bearable. I really enjoy strength training, especially if I am there with a friend.
I have started doing the C25K. I don't love it, but there is a group of friends that go running/jogging, and I would like to be able to keep up. I also would really like to get my endurance up. Granted, it's taken me about 2 months, and I finally just finished the second week, but even that little bit has made a difference. I was in target a few weeks ago, and I had to run up to the front to get help. And I do mean run, not walk. I realized after, I was able to do it. I wasn't dying out of breath when I got up there, my legs weren't cramping from 20 seconds of it, and I felt fine. Previously, I wouldn't have been able to. So for me, I do it because I really like the results. And once I get in stride, it's not too bad.
So I really think it's all about finding what works specifically for you. Both the activity and/or the motivation for the activity.

I've started water aerobics with the little old ladies at the aquatic center. I love that!

I got a dog. And then another. Even though I have fibro, walking is necessary for the dogs. After a while, my body felt a bit better. The joy my dogs bring me, especially on walks, is worth it.
