ArticleApparently she isn't a fan of Trump and couldn't deal with her husband's grandstanding for him. Shocker!

Wow. This is hysterical. While this man has put himself out there and is fair game, I really think his family life and any children involved should be completely off limits. I'm not surprised that someone here rushed to post it though.

Considering how much leeway you're willing to give Trump, Scaramucci, and the rest of his merry band of nasty, scabrous little hate-mongers, I'm kind of surprised you'd waste your time hand-slapping us over a completely public news story.

and considering that the link is Fox News Politics, it's not like it's any "liberal conservative-bashing" media site, either.

Once could wish Melania and Ivanka would do the same - unless of course they agree with what their husbands are doing, in which case they should go down with the ship.

I still think families should be off limits. (with the exception of the Trump adult children, who have chosen to put themselves out there) I also don't think laughing about the demise of a marriage is in very good taste either. But I simply consider the source and consider this the exact type of frothing that has encompassed this entire board. (and btw...I don't care what the news source is for this story...I still think it's in poor taste)

Or it could be that she's upset he's selling the company and she is losing her job as vice-president. She didn't seem that upset standing next to Trump in that picture she posted on Twitter.

I agree that families should be off limits. However, IF he is willing to allow his political ambitions to end his marriage, then that is a reflection on his character and not on his family. I am more concerned with the fact that in the past few days, he has called Priebus a "f*&^ing schizophrenic", and talked about Bannon "sucking c*&^" to reporters. Two people in the administration have quit over his hiring in just around a week. That is, or should be, a concern that seems to go along with this story.

It's like the he pot calling the kettle black---she was on the "libs" like white on rice to criticize and hand slap! Hypocrisy of epic proportions considering the jawing that went on about pretty much everything of every democratic president and beyond!

He is a public figure, his divorce is public info, and his wife has made no secret of the fact that she is not a fan of Trump. If it's adults mentioned in the news, it's fair game. YMMV.

Not sure if there is another article or not but the one that is linked doesn't seem to say anything about it being related to her husbands new job or whether or not she is a fan of Trump. Maybe I missed it, will go read it again.

The articles that show up in a google search all speculate that this was a cause of the divorce. Which is why I said IF and even bolded it.

It's his wife...why would you assume that she'd get nothing from the sale? She's more likely be super smart--as VP (and his wife) she likely would have known all about the sale and waited for that to go through before doing anything that changed her marital status. The sale deal on a company with that much $$$ (I read he sold it for $85 million?) did just happen overnight on a whim.

why is it so hard to believe, anyway? heck, until not very long ago, HE didn't like Trump! And he was very public about it! (until he decided it might be better to delete all those tweets- ) So why is it so hard to believe she's got issues with his love-fest defense of the guy, and that the about-face (and his strident, abrasive, profanity-laden personality) might have caused problems in their marriage??

I would bet however that they had a pre-nup which might not be in her favor since he owned the company before the marriage.

And the Page Six "article" (okay, more like gossip column) was linked directly from the article linked in the OP. That's how I found it.

Considering how much leeway you're willing to give Trump, Scaramucci, and the rest of his merry band of nasty, scabrous little hate-mongers, I'm kind of surprised you'd waste your time hand-slapping us over a completely public news story. Considering the amount of time I spend posting on political threads any more these days, who the fuck are you to decide what kind of leeway I'm giving anyone, Lucy? I still think families should be off limits. (with the exception of the Trump adult children, who have chosen to put themselves out there) I also don't think laughing about the demise of a marriage is in very good taste either. But I simply consider the source and consider this the exact type of frothing that has encompassed this entire board. (and btw...I don't care what the news source is for this story...I still think it's in poor taste) You only post in political threads to hand slap those who are complaining about Trump. That's your right but don't be surprised when you get a negative response AND a reputation as being a defender of Trump, no matter how indefensible his words and actions. Go ahead, keep calling us frothers. Do you use the same terminology for the many Republicans (more and more daily) who are turning on him because they can see he's destroying this country? Just wondering.

Go ahead, keep calling us frothers. Do you use the same terminology for the many Republicans (more and more daily) who are turning on him because they can see he's destroying this country? Just wondering. How do my comments in this thread, regarding Scaramucci's divorce equal defending Trump? I never said Trump (until this reply) nor did any of my words even come close to implying that I'm defending Trump. I'm pretty sure there was no discussion on this thread (you know, the one I replied to) referencing Trump's words or actions. So please tell me again how I am once again defending Trump when this thread had nothing to do with Trump. This was all about Scaramucci and his divorce. Now granted, I don't have the desire to spend my entire day hunting online for every bit of gossip from unnamed sources that many of you have...so some of these articles (if you can call them that I've seen some of what the sources are) certainly could have reference to Trump, but in the link in the original post on this very thread, the link that I actually read, there was no mention of Trump. And the shoe clearly fits for the frother reference. As evidenced by the fact that this thread wasn't even about Trump. I came in to express dismay over the glee over the death of a marriage and now I'm shut down because I'm "again" defending Trump when Trump wasn't even mentioned. Unhinged. There's my other word.
