Honestly, what we have here are two blowhards blowing. Our media is the biggest problem in all of this - talking about "the North Korean threat!". With this kind of fear-mongering dominating the majority of our news cycle, it's easy to forget what a match up between the US and NK would actually look like. Found a really great summarization on Reddit, totally worth the read: I'm not sweating this one. I refuse to be afraid of "what if's". Will get back to you if Un actually has the insane balls to land a missile on either US or Allied ground but I'm banking on the idea that Un is more into self-preservation (himself specifically) than world domination. I'm not yet convinced that it's not Trump, via Bannon and the Mercers who are fueling the media frenzy (fake news, etc.) as they know that it keeps his base in check, rules them up for support and they know a nation divided is easier to control.

This is exactly what someone said in a Facebook post I was reading earlier. Only they were serious. Ugh.

I think KJU just wants an infusion of cash. I think he saw the pledge of $400 million (?) to Iran last year and he's wanting a piece of the pie. The US didn't blink when he said he could reach the US and throw money his way. Now KJU has moved to he's deciding if he'll drop missles near Guam and the decision will come in a week or so. There's still no money coming his way at this point.

It sounds as if Trump is going to be a busy little bee, he's now adding Venezuela to his shopping list to receive military action! LINKThis is too much for my brain, I can't keep up....who's next I wonder!

Ever since DIA came out and said North Korea has the ability to miniaturize a nuclear warhead Rachel Maddow has been wondering if it was true. She had two reasons for wondering if the information. First this agency said the same thing several years ago, when Flynn was the head, and it was found out they were wrong. So Rachel is wondering if DIA was wrong again for this second reason. No other intelligence agency has collaborated the findings of the DIA. Not in this country or other countries.
Last night she had a former CIA analyst on who was an expert in North Korea and she said if they didn't have the ability to miniaturize nuclear warheads they will soon. But I think a lot of people already knew that.
The question is the DIA right this time or not. No one has come out to confirm.
As to North Korea threatening to bomb Guam, it seems North Korea does this on a regular basis. Rachel showed video clips of North Korea threatening to bomb Guam in 2013 and 2016. The difference is then we had no drama Obama instead of now with "I have to speak tough to prove I'm a big boy" trump speaking for the country.
I was watching trump answer the question about Venezuela and he was very quick about letting it be known that military options were a possibility.
But I have a question someone should be asking trump. Just what is the direct threat the changes in Venezuela pose to the United States?

Even if it was a justified course of action, where the heck would the USA get enough troops to carry out all this military action?!?! Makes me wonder if he really just wants the world to burn.

I have read that Venezuela has one of the largest stockpile of ground-to-air weapons in South America. There is some fear that those could fall into the wrong hands. Venezuela also has pretty good relations with Russia. Yup, there is that country again - Russia!

Venezuela also has pretty good relations with Russia. Yup, there is that country again - Russia! That has nothing to do with it and they're unlikely to use them towards the US anyhow. The unrest in Venezuela is domestic economic unrest and is no direct threat to the US. Trump's statement has played right into Maduro's hands where he has long insisted that his country is dealing with foreign interference, backed by the US, waging an "economic war" and seeking to undermine his government. Muduro's absurd claims have just been validated.....way to go Trump, maybe he'd like to take military action against Brazil as well to add to his list. Tomer's actions in severely undermining democracy is equally, if not in many cases worse, than the unrest in Venezuela. Panetta, in his statement the other day has hit it in one IMO Trump needs to shut up and start sorting the unrest he has in his own country before he interferes in everyone else's. He wasn't voted in to be the ruler of the world! He's causing more unrest than what he's attempting, in his bullying manner, to solve.

I can hardly believe this. We are led by a big-mouth know-nothing who thinks that he's our CEO. Heaven help us all.
