How absolutely terrifying for all of you. I'm glad your son came out of this with relatively minor physical injuries. You mentioned that the attackers were "circling", even after the police arrived. Does this mean they weren't arrested or even detained? I hope they face consequences of some sort!!

i'm sorry this happened to your son!! this kind of stuff just makes me so mad. here are some nice kids, enjoying a good time outside without drugs or alcohol, and a bunch of d!cks who are on drugs and alcohol come along and have to do this sh!t.

I don't even know what to say! I am so sorry and this never should have happened! I hope ds and his friends are feeling well soon. Watch him for PTSD. I don't know what I'm talking about at all, but the thought of experiencing being surrounded by so many people with evil intentions and actions... {shudder}

How horrible. It's a scary world when you can't even send your 19 yo out to have innocent fun. Glad he is ok, along with his buddies (except for the lip ring. ugg.)

lesley my heart goes out to your son and family. My own sons bookend your son in age. They're good men/boys but I tend to be worried about their group doing something of their own design and getting hurt. It barely crosses my mind they could be attacked while hanging together. This vulnerability is a wake up call for me. I can imagine what you must be feeling, wish we lived closer and we could release the full wrath of Peas on the thugs!
