OH puleaze, there is a whole butt load of people that think he can do no wrong. I asked one supporter the other day, after his ridiculous "I take back everything I said yesterday" speech if there was *anything* the man could do that would be wrong and her answer was "absolutely nothing" followed by cheers from other supporters she was with. There are also a butt load of people who will only focus on the wrong and ignore anything positive about him; such as the fact that he has lowered our national debt by more and for longer than any other previous president. Like him or hate him, that's a great thing for this country. Yet, I haven't seen anyone post about this. Close-mindedness is a national flaw; regardless of party.

I hear you, but when we continually harp on every little thing he does, it give us less credibility about the things that are more serious. When he stops doing such ridiculous things (that are seen and heard-not just anonymous source says things) people will stop talking. A majority of US citizens view him as doing an inadequate job, so they bring up the things he does. He absolutely needs to stop tweeting and giving non scripted speeches. I think most people are very clear on what is ridiculous and what is dangerous. He is the hot topic for now. I do not see things dying down for a long time. I don't disagree with you. I despise him (probably more than most - I literally cannot look at him.) But I honestly think him glancing at the sun during the eclipse, which I did (accidentally); which the thousand people around me in our town park did, isn't the worst thing he's ever done. The tweeting? Attack that - it's irresponsible and dangerous for us and damages the credibility of the Presidency. Glancing at the eclipse doesn't do any of that. It's just my opinion if we harp on these little things, it minimizes the impact of our criticisms of his truly important gaffes. His supporters will never listen if they think we go after absolutely everything.

Hey, I was just answering your insinuation that there aren't people who think Trump does no wrong.

LOL Tucker Carlson said it was potentially the most impressive thing a president has ever done. With a straight face.

Looks like Lauren is back - I knew it wouldn't be long. Was trying to figure out if lovetocolor or Ricky was Lauren. Ricky is also not a "new" pea.

If I had decided to look up at the eclipse, I would have been damn sure I wasn't a world leader with cameras on me. No outrage...just another in a mounting pile of "what a dumb fuck" moments he has provided. I was highly entertained by the exchange in this thread though! "Trump is good...I have proof...you are ignoring it." "Show your proof." "No." "We can't find any proof." "Oh, okay. My bad." And Nink, your post almost outed me for hanging here instead of doing my work. My LOL got me a glance from the boss-lady! This was fun.

I get that we shouldn't sweat the small stuff . That we shouldn't show any kind of outrage on items below 5 on the scale of 1 - 10 when it comes to trump.
But then there is this....
"Good leaders must lead by example. By walking your talk, you become a person others want to follow. When leaders say one thing, but do another, they erode trust--a critical element of productive leadership."
While trump didn't say " don't look at the sun without wearing the glasses" enough people did, even his own staffers, so when he did look at the sun without the glasses he kind of failed the "lead by example" test. And while in the big scheme of things this might come across as small potatoes it's another stroke in completing the picture that was sketched before the election on how he is not fit to be president. Among other things he doesn't know how to act because he doesn't think. Or because he doesn't care. In either case it's not an attribute you want to see in the President of The United States. But yet here we are.
So while some may dismiss it as much ado about nothing, I look at it as confirmation of what we were told would happen with trump as president. And I find it troubling.
For the record, if the fog bank had lifted in my area I probably would have taken a peek at the sun without any protection. But then if I did and not being the president who would care? Because trump decided to run for president he no longer has that luxury of not caring what some may think about his actions even small ones like this.

My brother is a comedian so he posted the pic of Trump looking into the sunlight on his Facebook saying "the sun is also partly to blame so really there's blame on both sides."

It was sarcasm not actual praise. Tucker Carlson has spent so long slobbing all over Trump that it's damn hard to tell the difference between sarcasm and just being an everyday Trump apologist. In other words, poorly done then.

It's a good thing those without an axe to grind could see it for what it was. If having an axe to grind with Trump and his apologists is wrong, I never want to be right. I'm done even pretending this presidency isn't a complete shit show so that I can be the good moderate I've always been.

1. Too bad he didn't turn to stone! 2. Too bad he and his wife were too busy looking around, taking their eclipse (required/suggested!!!) glasses on and off, and not focused enough to KEEP THEM ON! 3. Too bad both of them weren't decent enough parents to make CERTAIN that their 11 year old son KEPT his eclipse glasses on the whole time, but, like parents/like child! Poor kid! If that were my kid? I'd make sure that those glasses were practically glued to his head the entire time! Why chance it? They're incredibly stupid!!!!!! AT one point Melania actually took her eclipse glasses off to put her fashionable/designer glasses back on. Opps--your idiot is showing!
