I love tops like this. When I wear dark ones, I wear s black bra, but switch the straps to a flesh color (not plastic see through). I HATE it when pictures are taken and my light colored bra is visible through the shirt (also can happen when I'm walking outside in bright sunlight):

Just an fyi - after extensive study (I wish I was kidding) - nude or flesh color is much, much less visible than plastic straps - even if the color doesn't exactly match your skin tone. The plastic strap catches the light.

I say go with what you are most comfy with! I usually go with black, unless my top is super light. This is from a couple weeks ago, my 57th bday. I don't appear too troubled by my straps......of course that could be because of Margaritas! I would love to have that middle drink in front of me. I have lots of things to take my mind off of!! Curious.....what drink is it???

Thanks for all the tips, y'all! I went and tried it on, and it looked like a tent. UGH Oh well, these tips will help with my other tops, in the future.

The plastic strap catches the light. I was thinking that might happen. Most of my bras are nude color, so that is what I wear, actually what I'm wearing right now at work with a lacy front/shoulder top

I don't buy shirts like that because I have to wear a bra and I just don't think it's a good look with the bra underneath.

Just say no to clear bra straps.

I had a sales clerk recently tell me she wears her bralettes over her regular bra. So she gets the look of the bralette, but the support from her bra. Kinda a lightbulb moment for my larger chested self. I'd have to see this working in order to believe it. There is no way wearing a bralette over my regular bra would look like anything but a total fashion don't. I do this for tops where the arm holes are cut too low for my preference. It works well, particularly if the bralette color looks intentional -- either contrast or match. It has the advantage of not being as sweat-making as a full tank or camisole.

I bought a couple of the blouses (since there was a big sale at Kohl's!). I wear them either either my (big) strapless bras (Maidenform) or I wear a nude color bra. HTH. I'm a 34DD, so it was hard to find a strapless bra that actually holds up my boobs!

I'd wear a black bra under that. Nude looks like I'm trying to hide it and it hasn't quite worked, in my mind. This is the best choice imo. If you show your straps, they're supposed to be cute. If nude straps show, it looks like a mistake. The same color as the shirt is probably fine, but I'm too cheap and lazy to go bra shopping just to match a shirt. I usually wear a cami under my shirts, and my favorite bras are T backs, so I have straps going every which way anyway.

They have 38DDD at Kohl's (in the Maidenform section), but I could understand buying them at Lane Bryant--it's easier. DD29 wears a 34DDD or sometimes a 36DDD and she has a hard time finding bras. She NEVER wears a strapless. Good luck with whatever you choose. I guess a nude bra (with the straps) are fine!

That is a beautiful top. In my younger, firmer days I would have just gone braless, not these days. I agree with others either a bra the color of the top or nude or black. Just not white.

I have a black lace dress that I've had the same problems with. I tried wearing a black bra, but it seemed like the straps showed more than I wanted. I settled on a nude colored bra so that the bra straps look flesh-colored. To me it's less conspicuous.
