I'm re-watching GG for the 7th or 8th time (maybe more?) and I recently watched my favorite scene of the whole show.
(Possible spoilers below)
Davey was just born and Sookie's midwife/lactation consultant, Bruce, gets mad at Lorelei for talking baby talk. Bruce asks if Lorelei if she wants to retard Davey's development by talking baby talk and Lorelei replies, "no, I want Davey fully 'tarded". I don't know why but that scene makes me laugh out loud every damn time.
My favorite episode is probably the season 3 finale. The speech Rory gives still brings me to tears.
What's your favorite scene or episode?

I can't begin to pick one! I love them all. You don't ask a mom to pick between her children!

Yeah there is no way to pick just one. That one was good, I also like when Rory says I'm special? Like don't eat the paste special? I often quote that.

"This is not May-December. This is May-Ming Dynasty."
That is probably my favorite line. Favorite moment is actually in the revival when Lorelei tells her mother about her favorite memory of her father. *sniff*

@gilmoregirlinnyc I LOVE that line, too! snugglebutter that story was one of my favorite parts of the revival. Richard was an integral part of the show and he was so missed in the revival. His death is so sad.

When Rory gets her grandfather to scare Logan and make him think he's excited for them to get married. It was right after they met and Logan had done something stupid. There are too many moments in the show and they talk so fast!

1. Melissa McCarthy's Sookie at her most charming and quirky. And the first part is all one camera shot. Video (2 min, 30 sec) 2. Gilmore family dysfunction at its finest. And, oddly enough, more sustained camera shots. Video (4 min, 30 sec) (Somebody had to be the first cheater and pick two scenes...)

And, of course, Rory snuggling in bed with the REAL Madeleine Albright gets an honorable mention just for being so impossibly bizarre.

AmeliaBloomer Emily painting a "moonscape" cracks me up. That scene is amazing... the up and down of emotions is impressive.

I couldn't pick a favorite GG moment or scene, but I HATED how the revival ended. DD15 Just started re watching it for the second time, and mentioned how hard it is to get used to them talking so fast. As a side note, I have to say I was so excited to see Kirk (Sean Gunn) have a real part in Guardians of the Galaxy 2. I loved Kirk and I love Kraglin, and hope he becomes a GOTG in the 3rd installment.

Even though I don't drink coffee I can understand the moments that lead to saying this
"I can't stop drinking the coffee, I stop drinking coffee, I stop doing the standing, and the walking, and the words-putting-into-sentences doing."

wellway: Oh, there's more... All of the Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton References in Gilmore Girls (Text from article below; link has text and film clips) *Lorelai and Sookie discuss plans to buy a new inn: Lorelai: “It’s the title search for the Rachel property. And guess who owns it.” Sookie: “Tell me it’s not that bastard Donald Trump.” *After a neighbor calls Lorelai a “spunky entrepreneur”: Lorelai: “I am the uber Trump-Murdoch-Maximus!” *Lorelai and Rory go to Atlantic City for Rory’s birthday: Lorelai: “Video poker is my calling … especially the third machine in the second row of machines as you hit the entrance of Trump Taj Mahal.” *Rory talks about her economics class (her grandfather is the professor): Rory: “Next week, we’re going to split up into 10 groups and each of us have to create a business plan.” Logan: “Like ‘The Apprentice.’” Rory: “Yeah and he’s going to be like Donald Trump, which is ridiculous.” *Rory and her roommate, Paris, are frustrated by the men in their lives. Paris: “We’re better than this, you and me. We’re the children of Emma Goldman and Hillary Clinton. Strong, independent — we’re better than this.” *Paris gets angry at the hospital when the professor she’s dating gets sick and the doctors won’t give her any information: Doctor: “Now, calm down, take a seat and let us continue our work.” Paris: “Oh you men, always telling us to calm down. Me, Hillary, Martha … The second we make a squeak, you’re pushing us onto the fainting couch.” *Paris fights with her boyfriend: Paris: “He won’t listen to me! He’s in love with the sound of his own voice. You would think he was already president. And I don’t want to be Hillary. I don’t want to wait for a hundred years while he does his thing, so by the time I get my chance, I’m too old to enjoy it.” Rory: “Well, I don’t think Hillary’s too old to enjoy it.” Paris: “Fine, be on his side.” Rory: “I’m not on his side. I’m on her side.” *Luke promised Lorelai he would be home from a trip weeks ago: Lorelai: “So what lie are you going to tell me about coming home now?” Luke: “I’m coming home today.” Lorelai: “So next week?” Luke: “Today.” Lorelai: “This month at least?” Luke: “Today.” Lorelai: “See you when Hillary’s president.” *Rory chooses her college application essay topic: Rory: “I already have my essay topic picked out … Hillary Clinton.” Dean: “Sounds perfect.” Rory: “I know. She’s so smart and tough and nobody thought she could win New York but she did, and she’s doing amazing. Have you heard her speak?” Dean: “Only when you’ve played me the thousands of hours of C-SPAN footage you taped.” Later, during a college admissions panel: College admissions officer: “If I read one more over-adulating piece of prose about Hillary Clinton and her profound influence, my head will explode.” Paris: “Personal anecdote: When I was 12 and I was writing the first of my trial essays in practice for the day I would write my real essay, I chose Hillary Clinton. Then I realized every braindead bint in a skirt would be writing about Hillary. But it was good to clear the pipes.”

Here's a second vote for Luke and Lorelai's first kiss. It's so Gilmore Girls: a sweet moment and then a comedic moment as a naked Kirk runs through the door.

Oh gosh, I don't know. I did love the kiss at the Dragonfly, and the dancing and general cutsieness between L&L at Liz & TJ's wedding. And I loved when Luke pushed Jess in the lake. In the Year in the Life, I loved all of the reminders of Richard and Emily coming into to her own new life away from Hartford. As for the fast talking---people always talk about it, but I have never thought that they spoke all that quickly.

Kirk was one of my favorite people on that show and I loved how he had so many different jobs. My favorite Kirk moment was when he played the role of Tevya in the elementary school production of "Fiddler on the Roof." It cracked me up when he and and this amazing girl playing Golda were singing "Do You Love Me?" But then you had the cuts to Lorelei and Luke watching off stage and you are just dying for them to get back together. Do You Love Me?I also loved when Luke made Lorelei a skating rink.

AmeliaBloomer loved the Friday night fight scene. Maybe they should have had more of them and cleared the air a bit more. Loved when Emily put Shira in her place: link hats off to you for bagging him The one I rewound a bunch of times was during the Hay Bale Maze episode when Sookie and Michel were making baskets and arguing then in Michel's dry humor and funny accent says something about who would want to go bird watching?? Then he goes on the be disgusted about the hay. Who would want to walk around a bale of hay? Who are these people? Don't they have lives? Don't they have television? Don't you vote on these things in your town meetings? Just so funny. Of course there were tons of sweet moments between Lorelai and Luke or Rory but this one just had me cracking because of Michel's voice.

I'm watching an episode in season 5, after L & L break up, and Luke's boat is outside the diner. A cop is writing a ticket, because it's street sweeping day and the boat is in the way, and Lorelei gives this excuse to the cop to get out of the ticket: The boat is for the "National Boating for Peace and Low Blood Sugar Organization for Tiny Children".

I liked when they brought Michel's dogs into the story. He tends to act bristly, like he could just about tolerate people, but he had no problem showing how much he loved those dogs.

Now I got sucked into the Gilmore Girls rabbit hole clips on YouTube. How could we forget about Lorelai singing I Will Always Love You karoke and Luke being there? I've only watched the series once through on Netflix. Never watched it live. I think I'll start it again once the girls go back to school. Background noise of something I've seen before and don't always have to pay attention to.
