I've never watched it and I have no idea what it's about.
BTW - every time I see 'Gilmore Girls' my brain thinks 'Golden Girls'. LOL!

Lol. Just laughing at myself because I never know most of these shows a lot of you talk about. I don't care for comedies so I never know those. Is Gilmore Girls a comedy? I mostly don't like the "family" type shows either. So I've never seen Gilmore Girls, or Seinfeld (except when trapped on my parents' couch, even then I don't pay attention), or Friends, or Big Bang Theory or Modern Family or any of those. The only comedy I've really liked was MASH, which was serious and a comedy at the same time. Mostly I like the action shows or crime types like Criminal Minds. And of course Survivor and Amazing Race. I have never seen Gilmore Girls or any of the other "comedies" you listed.

I tried to watch part of an episode but couldn't do it. The relationship between the mother and daughter bothered me. Moms are not friends.

I tried to watch it sometime last year - I have so many friends who love it and have similar taste in TV shows, so I thought I'd give it a shot.
Couldn't get into it. I found myself confused about who I should relate to. Am I the mom? I'm much closer to her age. But I have no kids. Am I the daughter? I was around her age when GG first came out. But that's been a minute.
I have a hard time getting into shows if I can't make a connection with at least one character, and I was caught in some weird in-between where I didn't really care about either Rory or Lorelei's problems.
Also, a lot of my friends put it on the same level as Friday Night Lights, and let me just tell you - that is setting a show up for disappointment. NO SHOW WILL EVER BE AS GOOD AS FNL. That goes for Parenthood too, another one people try to compare to FNL all the time.

Tried but could not get into it! Even bought season 1 and 2 and still haven't watched them. Same with Parenthood, Friends and How I Met your Mother.

I've never watched it. Is it similar to Golden Girls ? Not at all. It's about a single mom raising her very smart daughter on her own in a quaint town in New England.

Nope not an episode. I was never interested in it for some reason. I was into action shows, too like CSI, Law & Order, Crossing Jordan, Criminal Minds, etc. I liked friends but it wasn't until later on that I loved it. I liked Seinfeld but it was ok. I didn't like Cheers or Murphy Brown or Mad About You, or Will & Grace etc.

I have never seen Gilmore Girls. Or Seinfeld. Or Friends. Maybe I need some marathon TV weekends.

I GIlmore Girls. The show is what they call a dramaidy. It is witty, but not a comedy at all. The writing is excellent and fast paced. It's warm and cozy without being sappy. I'm sure it's not for everyone. I couldn't get into This Is Us, I'm sure I'm one of the few. This. I loved The Gilmore Girls.

I've never watched. In my mind it was similar to Dawson's creek or party of five, or more recently, parenthood. Granted, I've never seen a single episode of Dawson's creek, party of five, or Gilmore girls, and I only hate watched parenthood for a couple seasons, so I have absolutely nothing logical to base my comparison on.

I've never seen an episode of Gilmore Girls either. I have seen most of the other shows that have been mentioned (Seinfeld, Breaking Bad, Sopranos, Friends, etc...), but Gilmore Girls never blipped on my radar.

I've watched about 15 minutes of an episode. Lauren Graham's voice was annoying AF to me. Never again.

I liked Candace Bergen on SNL and I liked her in Sweet Home Alabama. I watched a couple of Murphy Brown episodes and i didn't like it. I watched maybe 3 episodes. I remember the characters like Corkie Sherwood-Forest, Miles Silverberg, Jim something or other, Alvin? the painter. I can't quite remember his name-didn't like him either. I guess I must have been too young to appreciate the humour in it maybe? My parents really liked it. Ok I must have watched more than 3 episodes if I know that many characters first and last names on it. I still didn't like it. Maybe now that I am older I will like it more?

I tried twice to get into it. The Lauren Graham character just annoyed the snot out of me. "Look at me! I'm young and cute, and behave like a kid, even though I'm a mom. Isn't it precious?"
