I didn't see when the pictures were first posted--were they posted directly in the thread, or were they links? People usually put warnings on thread titles, or will provide enough space in a thread to by-pass or warn of pictures, for topics ranging from death to clowns and spiders. This IS a forum where people get flustered when triggers are even mentioned in thread titles more often then not. It's a difficult time when we live with constant bombardment of news bits, and headlines trying to outshock each other to drawing our attention. It's probably just my opinion, but we are also a society where folks seem more sensitive to triggers too. Those 2 things are not easy to balance. |

These babies were all in the Jonestown nursery and murdered on November 18, 1978. I'm surprised that Olan hasn't appeared on this thread, as Jim Jones made a point of preying on African Americans to build his flock. Elaine-Wohlgemuth Shilling |

But it wasn't harassment when Elaine-Wohlgemuth Shilling elaine contacted me off the board, made the comment she did in the Police Speak Less...thread and insisted #notLauren meet her in LA? Had she not been behaving the way she did in that thread I honestly would have not brought up her contacting me offline because I was unsure if it was really her. If the admin wants to intervene she should have done so when Elaine-Wohlgemuth Shilling lied in those other threads. |

And it's also not harassment for Elaine-Wohlgemuth Shilling to have tagged me in this given the history she claims we have. When zookeeper accused me of spreadsheet keeping in the form of likes elaine began liking many of my posts again after this history she claims we have. When you lie and I bump the threads to prove you are a liar you can't call it harassment simply because you guys hate my presence here. I welcome admin intervening |

In looking for the business link above, I stumbled on this atlantic article. It's interesting that it talks about why Kool-Aid caught on more than Flavor-Aid - both were most likely used - because of the history of using Kool-Aid with LSD. Anyhow, I have watched the Jonestown documentaries and read a half-dozen books about it, including by survivors, so it is not a phrase I use or am comfortable using. This sums it up for me, though I understand that a lot of people don't know the background. |
