Received my DD order of 3 items: Chipboard houses, love them! DD Pin, love it, will decide on how to use it in album. FaLaLa album, rings all intact! That inside plaid cover is heavy, a bit darker than I anticipated. Will only affect my title page I think.

So I REALLY do not like the new packaging the Story Kits and SBTM kits come in now. The cardboard envelopes are awful! I store my kits in the plastic envelopes so I can see what's in them. How am I supposed to store them in cardboard? I have not received the latest Story Kit yet even though it was "shipped" on the 15th, so I haven't seen the new envelopes. I've really enjoyed the plastic envelopes for the same reason--so I can see what's in them. I felt that the envelopes added value to the kit. I'll wait and see. I think I will finish up my one-year commitment to the Story Kit and then subscribe to the digital version instead. I really like having the ability to resize and re-color the digital elements, plus it's more environmentally friendly. I'm taking the Canva class right now, and it seems like a promising alternative to Photoshop Elements.

I’ll have to check that collection out. I like AE’s stamp set but I found the prompts a little odd. Clean? What would I document? A toilet brush lol. I hate cleaning :/ I guess if my house were actually clean for once, that *would* be worth documenting. Maybe Ali will take a photo of her cleaning person? I just want to say that I loved this comment. Hands up, I have a cleaner that comes every 2 weeks and everyday that she comes I feel that it's Christmas. I used to clean myself. I have a full time job, and I'm the mom to 2 kids which means all their stuff is on me. My husband's idea of cooking is cereal. I do the groceries most of the time cos if I send him it means 2 apples. So yeah you get the picture. The day I told him we were getting a cleaner and if he didn't shut up I was leaving him. Was the best. So yeah.

My mum also told me that the only time her house was ever clean was right after it was done. Which if you have a lot of people esp kids is wrecked in a few mins. My husband gets stressed about clutter but honestly I couldn't care less. I have one home stamp from maybe Kp years ago and that's all I need.
If I die tomorrow my last words aren't going to be oh shit my house wasn't from homes and gardens

How am I supposed to store them in cardboard? I agree 100% ... I use those plastic envelopes constantly and I actually find them more re-usuable than the cardboard which I'll never use again. They'll just go straight into the trash. I'd rather have the plastic envelopes!!

I like the pouches. At least they can be repurposed and useful. Is everything still individually wrapped in that wasteful cellophane?

I like the pouches. At least they can be repurposed and useful. Is everything still individually wrapped in that wasteful cellophane? I totally agree. I think they changed out the plastic bags to save money...AND they raised the prices using the excuse of the new cardboard pouches...which I don't believe they would cost more...at least not that much more. And, in typical fashion, they said the change was because everyone asked for it. It seemed to me that more people wanted to get rid of the individually wrapped cellophane. Inked drives me nuts! If I didn't like Ali and her products so much, I would shop somewhere else.

I was planning on quitting my SBTM sub when I get the December kit, but now I'm wondering if I should request a skip for January just to see what the kit looks like. If I like it, I'll cancel the skip, if I don't, I cancel the sub. I'm locked in with an annual rate, but I hate not having an idea of what next year's kits will look like since she stopped offering the digital kits a year early.

This is silly but i feel downgraded and this is the thing that might make me stop my subs. It’s always the little things.

This is silly but i feel downgraded and this is the thing that might make me stop my subs. It’s always the little things. I don't like the direction this company has taken. I LOVE Ali and the products and a lot of the design team members give me great ideas (not everyone does Project Life, or has the same style as me...and that's probably good)... but some of the changes are not good...some are good, of course, but they always say it is because we requested it. Maybe it is because I am a detail-oriented, factual person, but that bothers me. And the way they handle the FB sites is not good, either. There were two threads about the new envelopes on the Craft Your Story page last night...I was reading one of them, and someone started complaining about the new bags...and the whole thread got deleted while I was reading it! Not cool. From what I read, it wasn't mean or vicious, just someone expressing their opinion. I think it is just a matter of time before that page will be run like December Daily...everything has to get approved before it is posted.
Side note: I don't like the new paper envelopes, either. And for the love of God, why do it now, and not in January? I think I will just start moving my things to plastic Zip-Loc bags so I can see what I have.

Personally, I'm partially ok with the change for the SBTM kit because I keep the kits in a bin, not in the bags (partly because of the extra bulk and partly because I got so fursious with trying to get the cards & chipboard out of the tiny bags that I only wanted to do it once).
My biggest concern is that my SBTM kit shipped in the new envelope--I can't cut out most of the month circles (if I wanted to do something cute like that) because the shipping label covers up one side--but I'm also concerned because it downpoured this morning and is going to start raining again soon...if I hadn't gotten the envelope out of the mailbox when I did it might have gotten damp/soaked and then the marketing card & sticker sheet would be ruined, with possible water damage to the cards and chipboard.
I cancelled the Story/Stamp Kits a couple of months ago, but I would not be happy with the new envelope for that. I keep my story/stamp kits together and in the plastic envelope for a while. I like being able to see what's in the kit and quickly looking at the stamp.

I do remember that there were two threads! I'm surprised they have not deleted the other thread. I am waiting for an administrator to shut down all comments. I had already planned on cancelling my sub at the end of the year simply because I need to use up what I have, but this is leaving such a bad taste in my mouth. I have purchased quite a bit from AE, but now I am trying to come up with an alternative subscription--maybe Kelly Purkey or Heidi Swapp. Or maybe I'll just use what I've accumulated over the years!

I hated the plastic pouches and envelopes, LOL. I guess I'm in the minority here. I store my AE kits in two of those Iris photo box cases. (One case for Story Kits and one case for SBTM kits with the 4 extra photo boxes used for Story Kit spillover. I can fit up to three years of SBTM pieces in each monthly photo box!) I have reused a couple of the plastic pouches/envelopes for random things, but after more than two years of two AE subs, I am swimming in them. Time to sell them, I suppose.

I liked the pouches - I reuse them when traveling, etc. I do think its BS that they used the pouches as a reason to up the prices and then they pull them back.

I would buy them from you...I will need them...and they will be better than 1 quart food storage bags. As I said above, I like Ali and I like the product...so I'll keep subscribing, despite those cardboard envelopes. Just PM me when you'd like to sell, and I'll gladly Paypal you for them.

When they introduced the plastic bags, that was the reason for raising the prices...and now they are pulling them back...and *that* is the reason for raising the prices!!! No, wait...they are doing all this because we requested it.

Did I miss where they were cheaping out and not sending the SBTM kits in the zipper pouches anymore? That's how I keep them stored when waiting to use them so I'm not exactly thrilled they aren't in a container at all (even the paper envelope would have been fine).

I’m also wondering if some of their “censoring” of comments on FB pages is driving down engagement? I see an occasional post from one of the groups in my feed, but nowhere near as frequently as I did before.

You'd have thought that Inked would have learned their lesson, but no. Deleting comments/acting all hand slappy killed the traffic to their site and eventually led to their blog shut down. AE is doing the same thing.

I left those groups because the endless circle of rah rah Ali fan worship was tiresome. There was no substance to any posts. It could very well be that the posts are censored to the degree that the page is for praise only. It’s weird to me because Ali doesn’t strike me as a person who wants to be gushed over and praised relentlessly. She’s not Becky. And yet her company’s SM profiles push that agenda. It’s gross. I really like Ali, personally. But I felt like staying in those echo chambers of toxic AE positivity was going to adversely affect my feelings towards her. 😵💫

Got my AE SBTM kit today. Dislike the new packaging. My 4x6 cards have big crease marks in the middle where the 3x4 cards bent during shipping.

I won't read anything a couple of women post there, when I do visit, because I know it will be cringeworthy. I also like Ali, personally. She is talented, and seems like a grounded, decent person. I wonder how much she is aware of that is going on with the FB pages and Inked. She has been removed from a lot of things this year, and it just started getting really bad this year. I wonder if she even knows that the people she has trusted with her brand are slowly destroying it?

There are three projects (and counting) using the globe from the digital Travel kit that I just adore. But do I really want to spend $18.49 for the one element I will use? When does she typically run sales on digital items?
