DD (13) was so excited to be able to download it after school. I haven't seen it yet.

Ds16 made sure that all our many devices downloaded it this afternoon. He has been part of the beta program, so only new to the rest of us. Love the expanded app bar at the bottom of the screen.

Funny, that's one of the things I really don't like about it. I've had the beta version for a few weeks and I'm not a fan. I really dislike the way the numbers look to type in your passcode. For some reason, that really bugs me. BUT! I haven't played with the new features which I am looking forward to. So far, all of the things I dislike are esthetics.

I have an iPhone 7+ and downloaded it this morning. What are the new things besides the few things I've noticed below. I've been working all day, so haven't had time to look around much. 1) The screen that comes up when swiping up from the bottom, it has a lot more options. 2) Some of the icons have changed. 3) When you go from an app to the home screen, it does a cool sort of effect. 4) When pulling down the notification page, it has the lock screen for the background. 5) There is a search at the top of "messages". Actually, some of the apps sort of "announce" themselves at the top when open. 6) Just now wanted to brighten the screen and had to look a bit, but the new way to do it is fun.

I am installing it now after reading this. I was at least 2 behind. I liked the way my phone was. I am surprised we can update this quickly being in Canada.

I fonts are a little bit bolder, the change to messages seems ok. The date on Calendar is bigger and brighter, my log in is bigger. So far I guess I like the update.

The update is really more noticeable on the iPad. I have a pro and love the new look. I'm still discovering stuff. I really like the additional info you get when you pull up the menu from the bottom.

My husband has been using the beta versions for a while and really likes it. I'm going to lose some apps that I like when I update so I am not rushing into it.

I didn't even know there was an upgrade, my settings icon didn't have that little red number indicator on it. Can't wait to install!

Thanks for posting how you like the upgrade. I was hesitating until I heard whether there were any major glitches. I think I'm going to update my phone right now!

I'm such a Apple fan girl. I had the date of release of 11 on my calendar for months. My son kept telling me to download the beta, but I wanted to wait until the formal release. He really liked it and I'm loving it more and more. So many little hidden Easter eggs.

Still feeling my way around it on my iPad (before I install it on my phone) and I like a lot of the changes. I completely dislike the change to way ratings are shown in the app store - just a seemingly random list of of them and no ability to sort them by recent or most helpful. I wasn't crazy about the "today" page in the app store either. But I was happy to see they improved the keyboard and I like the way things "look". I plan on spending some quality time getting into it this weekend.

I never do updates when they first come out. Too many problems that haven't been ironed out yet. I never do them until my devices yell at me and say "Download this NOW or else!" I probably won't bother with it on my phone because I'm do for an upgrade and will be getting that soon. So I think I'll just go along with what I know until I get the new phone. We will see on the iPad....

We will see on the iPad.... After doing the last major update right away, I'm not doing that again. I think I spent a good day and a half screwing around with my iPad after it got stuck halfway through the update resulting in a complete reinstall and then I lost a bunch of stuff. So now I'm waiting until it tells me to do it or else (and not before backing everything up first)!

This thread prompted me to upgrade last night. I've an iPad Air so can’t benefit from a lot of the multi tasking features, but I’m liking the expanded dock and control centre. I'm also hoping the keyboard will help with a glitch both DH with his iPad Pro and I have where the keyboard sometimes freezes, normally in Word or Mail, where I can continue to type letters but am unable to change to the numbers pad. I haven’t really noticed too much that's different in my iPhone 6 but it seems to be fast and unaffected by the upgrade. I can’t seem to do drag and drop on my devices. Photos will lift up and be dragged but they won’t drop, and vanish as soon as I lift my finger up.

It took me awhile to figure out the keyboard on my iPad. I like the functionality of it but for some reason the lighter digit/symbol on the “key” visually annoys me!

We just got the all clear today at work to upgrade. They had us hold off because they hadn't fully tested it with our bring your own device software yet.

Me too I always wait till it yells at me all the time. lol! So it sounds safe now. I hate doing them I don't know why. Dh always does my apps cause I'm terrible about doing it.

A week or so out, they told us to hold off, same reason...and then a day or two beforehand we got the all-clear. So far so good.

I love it. We are 1:1 iPads at my school and some of the features are so nice, especially the screen recording.

I disagree! OMG...that upgrade to my phone sent us into the 9th circle of hell. Over 4 hours later, we are just getting back to life. And, I'm not sure the issue has been resolved.
Apple was so helpful. Not!
I hit something accidentally that started the process of restoration. Have not one clue what it was.
