I'm a very lucky girl. Because of what I do for a living, I already own 3 Kitchen Aid mixers, all different sizes. I have a small 4.5 qt, a 5qt Pro, and a 7qt Pro. Plus I have a 20 qt floor mixer for big tasks. They all live down in my basement commercial cake space. So any time I want to use a mixer for home use, I need to go down to the basement. (see where this is going?) We are in the process of decorating/renovating the family room/kitchen across the back of the house. Family room got built-ins around the fireplace, hardwood floors and new furniture. Grey couch, and all my accents are white and touches of aqua. Very "beachy" without the seashells kind of feel. Kitchen is about to get quartz counters and a white, bevelled subway tile backsplash. And touches of the same aqua will appear in the kitchen.... Kind of like the 5qt Pro kitchen aid in aqua sky, that is currently on sale for 40% off at the local Canadian Tire store. ETA - I LOVE that all of you think I'm lugging a mixer up and down the stairs!! I'm just lazy and complaining that I have to lug my ingredients downstairs to USE the mixer. I'm SO not going to lug the mixer upstairs! LOL

Sounds like you need this new mixer! Carrying a heavy mixer up and down stairs could be dangerous!
That is the argument I would use.

Well it's necessary isn't it? It's a vital piece of equipment for your kitchen and the only possible item of the right colour and size to fit in that space there. . . See? Just over there.
A professional woman can't be expected to have to run up and down stairs every time a mixer is needed. It doesn't matter how many you have for professional use, this is for personal use only and, as such, totally necessary.
Plus, who doesn't like a bargain? 40% off means 40% you can spend on something else.

I don't be think you need validation - definitely shouldn't be lugging a mixer around. Buy the one you want for your kitchen!

Am I the only one that finds it strange that a tire store is selling a Kitchen Aid?

Am I the only one that finds it strange that a tire store is selling a Kitchen Aid? Canadian Tire is kind of an all purpose store - like Home Depot without the lumber! They have a garden centre, sell all kinds of sporting goods, camping gear, lighting, have a full automotive section (complete with garage staff), and a household section, paint, shelving, that kind of stuff too. Not just tires!

This is a necessity. The other KA's are for business use. You need one for personal use.

Am I the only one that finds it strange that a tire store is selling a Kitchen Aid? I think you can compare Canadian Tire to stores like Blain's Farm & Fleet or Mill's Fleet Farm in the States (if you have those in your area).

Either that or the Instant Pot . As I tell my girls, do what you think is right. <- how's that for a non-enabling answer? ETA: I love Canadian Tire. One of my Canada souvenirs are their vintage ornaments.

Never mix business with pleasure.
And I think the US tax code would require one separate from the business. Maybe Canada does too?
And perhaps health codes would require separate?
Go for it and enjoy it.

I think we need to know what colours your other mixers are
and Canadian Tire is THE BEST!!! it's like a canadian homegrown version of walmart - but better!

The 5 qt pro is black. The 7 qt pro is pewter. And the giant floor mixer is about 20 years old, and is black (but chipped in places and would love a new paint job!)

cakediva You should post the utube of Chris Hadfield's Canadian Tire song. It would be great in your original post. Get yourself the mixer!

Oh, you totally enabling ME, cakediva! I had to go look and now want one. The Ice Blue is lovely 💙
I have a very old (20 years +) white old that I love. It's the tilt head. Do you have a preference? Does it make a big difference with the artisan?

Does it make a big difference with the artisan? I prefer the lift bowl to my tilt head one. Depending on what I am mixing, the bouncing of the tilt head (even when locked) jiggles the lock lever and then the tilt head bounces higher....
