Yesterday, dh said that he felt like a burrito. I"ve never made a homemade burrito, but I'm up to the challenge if I can find a good recipe. If not, I can make chicken enchiladas with a recipe that he enjoys. Ds can use the meat to make tacos, because he won't eat enchiladas. Cooking for 2 is going to take some work. Time for yds to come home from university. Cooking for 3 is much easier. He's learned enough. Darn. I thought you'd agree. What's on your menu? Have a delightful Wednesday.

Dinner here tonight is chicken teryaki with vegetables and brown rice. Pretty much everything is prepped and ready to go - just waiting for DH, but know he will be a bit later tonight.

I have the opposite problem scrapmaven ... my 18 year old dd who goes to University but lives at home does nothing but complain about what I cook Maybe it would have been better if she had gone away to school I made something she likes last night (pulled pork) and she told me that she would enjoy chicken burgers ... well, hey, I guess that's what we're having tonight I'll make some sort of salad to go with ...

Last night, BF told me he was defrosting some beef for a stir fry tonight. He's also picked up veggies, so I guess he's hungry for stir fry and rice.

We had lasagna last night so I need to decide what's on the menu tonight. I'm off to run errands and will stop at Raley's on the way home.

We are leaving soon and I know I am having chicken for dinner but that’s all I know. We are seeing flamenco dancers. This should be fun!

The sheet pan dinner I made last night was really good, and easy!! I used a yam (or sweet potato?) carrots, broccoli, zucchini, onion and polish sausage. I mixed up some herbs and drizzled everything with olive oil. Yum
Tonight I think I am going to make scrambled eggs with veges mixed in and English muffins with some apple butter my neighbor made.
I am leaving tomorrow morning to visit my sister in CA so my cooking is over until middle of next week!!

I have to go to secretary of state tonight. Boo! I hate that place with a passion and after 5:00 it's packed. I'll probably be there until it closes at 7:00.
Today marked the beginning of fall for me. I had to turn my headlights on on my way to work this morning.
I am probably going to hit a drive through on my way home tonight.

Plan was to make bruschetta chicken. But I found a recipe for a bruschetta chicken bake that looks like less work (stick it in the oven and walk away) 👍🏻 So that’s what’s for dinner!

It's fall break this week (when my mom was young, it was actually called potato break, because all the kids had to help the local farmers pick the potatoes), and the past two days have been filled with drama rehearsals from early morning til late afternoon, so DD just wanted to relax. We went to the movies (Askeladden, based on an old Norwegian folk tale), good movie, but a bit scary in parts (for me). Decided to make a pizza for dinner, so both kids and DH were Happy. And when they don't complain, I'M happy. Not that I want standing ovations at dinner time, but if you don't like the food, keep your opinions to yourself and be happy you don't have to cook. Voice your opinions, and you're more than welcome to make dinner instead.

Today marked the beginning of fall for me. I had to turn my headlights on on my way to work this morning. Don't your headlights run all the time? Mine do in both my truck and car ... they come on automatically even in the daytime ... I guess it's safer?

leannec I’m sure you already know that Canadians do a lot of things smarter than your neighbors to the south. Cars go on that list...here most cars don’t have automatic headlights like you’ve had for many years there. I leave mine on all the time and they shut off automatically when I shut off my car.

For our dining pleasure this evening we will be enjoying leftovers. We have maidrites, part of a rotisserie chicken, some cheesy potatoes, and probably lots of other food type things I am not remembering since I am at work and not in front of my refrigerator. Lots of good eating just sitting in the cold dark refrigerator waiting for someone to eat them.......
Happy Wednesday Everybody!

The flamenco show was amazing. The costume changes were spectacular and the music and singing and dancing was so wonderful.
The obnoxious ethic group from somewhere in the world who were pissed drunk were }}#%^#. We could have done without them. They were so rude to the dancers. You can call me a racist all you like but when you are a guest you behave. Barf. I got mad at this one who totally blocked our view because he was standing to record the dancing. We were all very angry. Not cool.
Now these dancers were so flexible and the dancing was so wonderful. They did a lot of dancing to Carmen and omg we were so very impressed. The music was just spectacular, too. You are getting that I thought this was a great show so I will shut up now. I just loved it all. I am not sure if they have taps on their feet or not. Their legs have to be tired after all that exertion.
The chicken, rice and potatoes forgettable. They are serving too much alcohol and people are consuming way more than they should be. That is my opinion. They are thinking there won’t be any for tomorrow maybe?

Do you know that you can now make an appointment at any location? Previously, you could check in by phone and they would text you when your time was getting close so you could scoot back there, but it wasn't an appointment. DH used the appointment feature last time and loved it. We live very close to a SuperCenter that is insanely busy at all times, so the appointment feature is very appealing!

DS has a car that is one model year older than mine (same car) and he does not have automatic headlights and I do. Whenever I take the car in for service, the techs turn off the automatic headlights and I often don't notice until the next time I drive after dark! We also have daytime running lights, which are different than the headlights (I'm not sure what the difference is) and those are on all the time.

Spaghetti for DH and peanut butter toast for me (yoga night). I'm serving on a two day school evaluation team for my school district. I was "volunteered" . Today wasn't too bad. We did classroom observations at another elementary school. Tomorrow will not be so intersting. We have to meet with our team at the central office and type up our report. ALL DAY. I get twitchy and grumpy in meetings. Oh well. Safe travels The Birdhouse Lady

Trying a new Pinterest recipe tonight, Chicken with cheese, broccoli, and bacon. The kids hate my Pinterest try nights lol, they call it "Pinterest fail night" even though only a few have been fails. Not sure what to have with it though. Off to puruse my side dish pin board!

Tacos with ground sirloin that was on sale today. I went hog wild on the trimmings, too, with $30 worth of stuff at the store.
And good Mexican beer. Sure wish I had some lemon mousse, though.
Thanks for the thread.
