My husband is a Facebook ad and Craigslist junkie. Usually he wants to show me things and im like 'uh huh, how about no' Last week it was more like "get in the car right now! Go find that woman. Drove to her town right this second' He found a cotton candy machine! A couple bought it to use for school carnivals, used it once and it started squealing so they sold it 'as is'. A $3 belt fixed it perfectly. Dh tried to tell them what the problem was and they said they didn't want to fool with it and that they'd just bought a new one. People are so silly. The neighbor kids and I have had a grand time making cotton candy after school. This might be the happiest score of my life. Found any great deals this week?

That is an amazing find! I love cotton candy (we call it candy floss in the UK), although my dentist once told me sternly that it was a disaster for teeth, and that I should forget its existence. What does she know?!

Congratulations! THose are huge! BTW- be careful using the machine on a windy day- DD was in charge of the cotton candy machine at an outside fundraiser once when it was super windy. The fluff was flying everywhere and got in her hair and clothes.

(we call it candy floss in the UK) And we call it Fairy Floss in Australia! Whatever it's called, I LOVE it! Dentists be damned! I would love to have my own machine, but it's probably best that I don't.

We found out about the windy day the first day. The neighbors put on their swimsuits and went for it! I haven't mastered the art of not making a mess, one day. For now my eyelashes are sticky.
We had an event tonight and took it with us. There was a 72 year old Egyptian man that was thoroughly confused by it and then was delighted with the first bite. I wish I'd a video!
I'll just brush an extra time, no time for dentists stealing my joy! Ha.

We have a commercial machine too! DH bought it for me years ago from someone closing a concessions trailer business. We don't pull it out often because it's kind of a mess to clean up, but it sure is fun when we do!

How fun! Whenever I see someone making Cotton candy I can't help but think of the final scene in Grease. Seeing someone eat it for the first time is awesome, have you seen this video? Poor guy

How fun! We used to go to a restaurant in Pleasanton that gave you cotton candy at the end of the meal.

How fun!
There is a house in my parents neighborhood that has one. Every Halloween they pull it out and pass out cotton candy to Trick or Treaters. It's the biggest hit of the neighborhood!

I think you have a gift for making cotton candy too because I have seen some homemade puffs of it and none look that good!

I love to make cotton candy. I was president of the student activities board in college and one of my favorite things was making cotton candy during our events. Last year, my 6th graders were in charge of selling cotton candy at our school festival, so we had tons of fun making it then! Enjoy!

We now have 2 commercial cotton candy machines after waking up to a message that dh won another one last night. We haven't tried out the first one yet. I'm thinking our Halloween party might be the perfect time to use them.

I love the name Fairy Floss. Now I want some fresh Fairy Floss for morning snack - none of that stuff that was made last week and is flat in the bag.

FUN!! Will you let any schools borrow it?
I rent a CC machine for our pool's Memorial Day and Labor Day parties at $60 a pop. Even if we could buy one, we have no place to store it.
I know you can get the colored sugar and paper cones on Amazon in bulk.
