I am a sucker for the retro/50's-ish lines from them and at first glance I liked this but looking further it's just ok. I think what draws me into it is that it's different but I'm not sure if I like it enough to buy much from the collection. Link is to ACOT Pre-order section. Here are a couple of images. Authentique: Alpine

Hmm. I too have mixed feelings. I dunno, I liked Authentique's lines much more before they started venturing into the '50s imagery and punny humor. But that's just me.
Edited to say that I think in this line, particularly, it's the juxtaposition of the retro images with the trendier script fonts and sayings. It just doesn't "click" for me.

Like most any collection, there are some papers I would use, and might purchase. It's pretty rare that a collection comes out that I *must* have every bit. But I totally agree with Sarahbee in the fact that the vintage vibe and modern phrases and fonts don't click for me.

I like the cut apart sheet. Those would make fun cards.

I really love Authentique's design aesthetic these days. The 50's people probably aren't something I would put on a layout, but everything about this is so nicely put together. Blues and greens are my favorite color combinations.
On a slightly related note, I found an Authentique travel line collection kit at Tuesday Morning yesterday. Score!

mixed feelings here also - I like most of the papers - love the blue/green colours. Not a big 50's people person so no to the cards and living in Florida, I don't need the snow-themed stuff either.
And what is with the Llama or Alpaca or whatever that is?

I like the snowman one with the kids (it cracks me up), but I wish they had some retro Christmas ones as well.

I like the majority of the papers - I like that they are small-scale patterns. The teensy ski-lifts are adorable, and the trees and leaves could be used on a variety of pages, not just winter.
Pass on the cut-aparts (although the other sheet isn't too bad) and the stickers.

I just love the texture of their papers! A store a couple hours away from me usually gets their lines, so I will have to check it out in person next time I go there. :-)

Actually, I LIKE that the trendy sayings are included with the retro images: that is what makes this line more interesting! Love the quality of Authentique anyway, and these colours are the ones I love for winter pages. Looks like some of the cut aparts would work well for cards, too. Thanks for sharing this, nicolep!

I'll take the llama bits. They can keep the rest. I don't care for the colours or the mixture of the retro and modern. But yeah, I'll take the llamas. lol

I bought the 6x6 paper pad and sticker sheet of their "Bewitched" line. Added Orange and Bouquet Bazzill cardstock. So pretty!

And what is with the Llama or Alpaca or whatever that is? I really love the color scheme, but the 1950s is getting overdone in the scrapping world, I think. And as much as I like the colors and patterns, I also have NO need of snow-themed paper, ever, either. (or alpacas / llamas)

I like it (and agree with previous comments too)! What's looking good to me is I can buy just a little of favorite prints--like the red gondola chairlift--and incorporate with some already--used winter stuff to make a new little kit and not spend much money while still getting a new look. Not sure about those stickers and if I could use too many--will have to decide between those, and any chipboard or ephemera. I kind of love the green and yellow incorporated with the blues--I have too much winter stuff that is just too blue and white and I don't get inspired to use it. This is fun, and I like the retro. I think it's growing on me.

Although I don't think I'll buy any of it I like that the designs are quite small and tight. I also think this tree paper could work well in a DD or other Christmas project.

This collection is throwing me off because Alpine relates to the Alps for me (although I'm aware the adjective in English is also used to refer to all things high mountain). This collection clearly doesn't. Moose, Fair Isle patterns, alpacas, etc.
A little on the dull and not-very-cohesive side but it's not offensive and not repetitive of other lines currently on the market so I'm sure it'll find its fair share of buyers. I might get a sheet of the paper featuring the miniature ski resort print with the chalets and gondola lifts during the sales though.

It does not seem very cohesive to me either, but there are certainly some papers I will pick up. I love the tree paper and the white background snowflake paper. We don't always get snow here, but I never give up hope!

My first thought is I like it - I like the colors and the fact they picked a different theme. Personally I have no need for alpacas but if I raised them or something I'd be thrilled.
I probably wouldn't buy it but I appreciate the effort!

There is no pink, awesome! I like it, whether I would use it is undecided... We do get snow here sometimes but I've never been skiing and always think we should buy a snow shovel but never actually do it (no sidewalks on our street). I don't know what I would do with the alpaca things... I do love me some blue scrapbook supplies though and the Fair Isle pattern (I knit and love all the knit pattern stuff in scrapping right now) is cute. I will probably buy at least some bits and pieces

I could see myself using some of it if I still lived in an area that has real winter weather. I think it would be great for skiing and playing in the snow and drinking hot chocolate layouts. I don't care for the cut aparts with people on them. The only people I want to see on my layouts are my family and friends but other than that I like it. I haven't said that about very many new releases lately.

I really do like it. Blues and greens are my jam and the vintage theme is cute. I don't love all the sayings (I'm tired of all the repetitive sayings on everything now). TFS!

I really like the color scheme and most of the papers that don't have the people on them. The llamas are cute. I'll probably pick up some of the papers. Thanks, nicolep for always keeping us updated!

I like the colors a lot. I'd really have to examine this deeply if anything works for me.
I mean, heck, we don't even turn our heat on in the winter. I definitely don't need more snow/cold stuff. As I do have plenty from when we lived on the other side of the US.
