So have you bought any nice make up as gifts for Christmasπ€Άπ»π€Άπ»π€Άπ»π€Άπ»π€Άπ»π€Άπ»π€Άπ»π€Άπ» My daughter has been craving the Too Faced Bon Bon palette. She's only 11 (almost 12) and only gets to wear makeup about once a month for something special, but when they had their Black Friday deals, you could get that and a few other goodies for a really good price. My mom has been dealing with a broken kneecap since June and is now out of a cast and hopefully out of the brace soon, too. She really hasn't been able to get out much at all. My DD and I first decided she needed some new mascara (she'd never think of it expiring, I don't think) and then I just decided to get her some goodies that I like to freshen up her makeup. She has some Becca highlighter, an IT eyebrow pencil, Benefit They're Real mascara, a mini chocolate bar eyeshadow kit from Too Faced, and Pink Chocolate La Creme lipstick from Too Faced waiting for her. I didn't want to do blush because different colors work on her than on me, and I'm a little worried about the lipstick but I think it should be fine. Once upon a time our coloring was more similar, but as we've (both) aged, it seems a little more dramatic. Her hair is lighter, her skin has always been lighter, and her eyes are darker. Our skin has always been different oil-wise, and colors do show up differently on her than on me. But I hope she likes it. She's not really into makeup, but I thought it would be fun to have some fresh new stuff now that she can get out and about again soon.

I've been into skincare lately. My sister and I visited the Clarins counter at the department store and talked to one of the gals about their shower oil, cellulite cream and body cream. I'm looking for a good cellulite cream (I have it all over my thighs and want help above my knees) - anyone have any suggestions? Clarins is supposed to be excellent. Clarins Cellulite CreamChristmas beauty products for myself (that I love): 1. Fenty Beauty Galaxy palette (so glittery!): Galaxy Palette 2. Armani Luminous Silk Foundation: Armani Foundation3. Color Pop eyeshadow $5.00 single: Color Pop4. Too Faced, "Clover A Girl's Best Friend" eyeshadow palette (couldn't resist the dog inspired names): Too Faced5. It Cosmetics Brow Shadow (THE BEST): Brow PencilMajor disappointment: 1. It HURTS. Glam Glow Plumrageous lip gloss: Glam Glow lip gloss

So, Iβve been using the Rodan + Fields lash lengthening serum for a month. A friend sent it as a thank you gift (not needed, but appreciated). I had zero expectations but took the obligatory βbeforeβ pic of my lashes.
Six weeks later Iβm here to say my lashes with mascara look as good as they did when I had extensions. The stuff is amazing, at least for me. I wondered if Iβd get a skin reaction, if it would affect my eye pigment, if it would burn. Nothing. Iβm glad I took the before pic because the change was so gradual that at first I didnβt realize they were getting longer.
The only adjustment Iβll make is to alternate which side (right or left) I start on. The instructions said dip once for both sides and I was always starting on the right. Now I see the right side is a little longer than the left.
I guess Iβll be buying some for myself. Itβs not cheap, but definitely cheaper and easier than eyelash extensions

I read that you really shouldn't use waterproof mascara on a regular basis as it is really harsh on your lashes. Really? I only wear waterproff cause everytime I wear the normal ones it gets all over under my eyes and I look awful

So have you bought any nice make up as gifts for Christmasπ€Άπ»π€Άπ»π€Άπ»π€Άπ»π€Άπ»π€Άπ»π€Άπ»π€Άπ» Ummm maybe? There would be a little CD here and there (eye shadow and micellar water) and maybe some MAC (foundation, lipstick and something else. I forget what? It's in a bag already). There is quite a bit from Sephora, too. I got a 3 pack of Brazilian Bum Bum Cream. That stuff kills all dryness and smells amazing! I got a Clarisonic gift set and a foundation brush head, Stilla liquid lip trio, Bobbi Brown shimmer brick highlighter in pink quartz, IT CC cream in the lightest shade because of my glow in the dark pale skin, some new brushes from this seller on Amazon that I have had amazing luck with, a makeup mirror with lights, some microfibre face towels and I think that's about it. I just had my birthday in November (end of November so I shopped during the VIB sale so I picked up a lot of stuff then). I also found the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray in a bag, and a light pink beauty blender! Some stuff I bought for my birthday didn't work out. I got a Bare Minerals nude liquid lip and the colour looks totally wrong on me. The formula is awful but the smell is delicious! I got a Becca highlighter fluid thing and it burns my skin. That went back. I have some retinol cream I am going to return to the dermatologist's office because it gives me nothing but grief. Lots of great goodies

So out of my winnings I ordered a Clarisonic mia fit An Anastasia make your own palette Some too faced peaches and cream, the clover palette and the chocolate gold palette And some stuff from perricone md and Sunday Riley And 2 palettes and a shadow kit from pat McGrath!!! Canβt wait!!! I like the Anastasia palettes but I havenβt used it yet peaches and cream arrived yesterday so I tried it out, love the eye shadow palette, donβt think the foundations setting spray etc are as good as urban decay, when I used my concealer it seemed to ruin the foundation which doesnt happen with urban decay. And I donβt think I like the frost highlighter wasnt super impressed with swatches of the clover palette but havenβt used it yet swatches of the chocolate palette are stunning pat McGrath palettes are fantastic I really really like them

So if I wound up in Sephora because I parked in the lot that has the Sephora in that mall and told you I went shopping you'd want to know about it, right?
Well today was one of those days. The car practically drove itself.
I got the coolest new pink nude NARS liquid lipstick and it's the best colour ever for me I got the large size Hourglass primer I got an Hourglass bronzer trio Then I got the new Tarte highlighter/contour pallet.
It was extremely productive. I was so lucky and used all the stuff I got tonight! Yay!

I am not loving my eyelashes. They are only a 6/10 and they were a 9.5/10. I am back to using the drops every night again. I will also throw out the mascara I am using now and start something new or hunt for Better than Sex by Too Faced. I have it on the go. This Spanish one I am using was excellent. I loved it but I think it's done.

I tried my new MAC concealer today. I got this for Christmas and I loved the coverage I got from it. I think it turned out really well. I could have taken a lighter shade i think but I am not sure if they make one lighter than I am. I was still so pleased with it!

I just bought the Better than Sex mascara and itβs really flaky this time. Iβve bought it many times before without this problem. Maybe itβs a bad batch.
I also got the Urban Decay powder foundation and really like it. I donβt like thick heavy foundation and this is a fast fix.
Dd is using some eyelash kit with 3 steps. Donβt know the name but Iβm going to try it.

I have dry skin and I find it works really well on my skin under my eyes. I use it on my nose and cupid's bow and chin, too. I do bake with it and it works really well for me!

I used my Clarisonic for the first time tonight. My skin felt very smooth but very tight when I was done. I think I will use coconut oil and glycolic acid to moisturize. It was very smooth, though so that was a good thing. I didn't pay much attention to the colour of it when I ordered it but mine is actually a very pretty mint green. I really like it!

My cheapo mascara was on sale today at the drug store so I picked up a couple of tubes of it. It's so cheap but I love it. I also got a different one in the same packaging as Better than Sex. I have read and heard that it is great. The expensive stuff doesn't seem to work that well for me and this does. It's very cool!

My favorite mascara of all time was Mac's Zoom Fast Black Lash and they discontinued it about 6 months ago. I bought two tubes then (could seriously kick myself for not buying more) and I've been searching mascaras ever since. I'm super "mascara brush picky" so it's been a challenge. But I did buy the old, trusty Maybelline in the pink tube and it's not as good as the ZFBL but it'll suffice until I can find a new standby Mascara π

I had to give up on it. I have sensitive skin and I can't use anything but water to get off mascara really. Sometimes it costs less to get more.

I got a $50 gift card for Ulta that I'm trying to hang on to to get something good and not just waste it on a 'basic'.
I've been wearing more navy in my wardrobe and I just realized I don't have a a navy eye shadow. I like to use the darker color in the corners of my eyes for definition.
Two questions; what color palette do you suggest for a navy office wear? My first thought is pink hued, navy accent eye shadow and a pinkish hued lip color.
I also need suggestions on a good eye shadow palette in those colors.
Or if you have another 'color scheme' for makeup with a crisp navy striped button up shirt and navy pencil skirt. I get so tired of brown toned eye shadows. I want color.

I only have one pallet with Navy. Itβs BH Cosmetics Modern Neutrals. I love it because itβs all matte. Has a great range and offers peaches, browns, pinks, gray and navy. I havenβt seen them in stores, but bought mine online...I remember it was inexpensive and an Emilynoel (YouTube) recommendation..or at least the brand was).
