I cannot stand gold.
I want to buy new scrappy supplies. I keep looking. But everything has gold on it. Every collection. Every kit. Every club.
I can't stand gold and refuse to buy if any single part has gold on it. Do you think we will see silver soon?

I completely agree. I've never worn gold jewelry, only silver. I don't care for all the gold in scrapbook supplies either. For instance, I love the new Heidi Swapp project life pages that are pre-printed but, yuck, gold  There is definitely some silver prejudice going on here! Maybe they'll all get sick of gold and silver WILL be next. We can only hope  |

I hate Gold jewery and only wear silver but I have jumped on the gold trend in scrapbookjng. For some reason I just love it. I did notice at my Michaels they had more silver Thickers than gold...maybe the trend is heading to silver now.

I have always liked gold over silver. Gold has been "out" for so long, and I'm happy to see it finally coming back.
That being said, it's a little ridiculous that it has to be one or the other. Why not some of each?

I'm with you, too. I cannot stand gold. To me, it makes everything look cheap. The only thing gaudier than gold is gold with glitter. Lol. I'd love to see some silver integrated into some of these lines, but gold has been in the trend for awhile now, and I (unfortunately) don't see it going anywhere.  Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

MME has some silver and copper in their Necessities Collection... If I'm remembering correctly, there is silver in with the black and grey line, and both silver and copper in the metallics line... Not a lot, but hopefully the start of more variety in metallics...

I too have been looking for and collecting up silver stuff to use for my 25th anniversary album and it's been pretty slim pickings. I've been finding a lot of gray though, or stuff with gray in it, so that's probably what I'll end up going with for a lot of my pages. I don't mind gold but for this project it doesn't fit with the theme. If I get really desperate I can always add some metallic silver paint or Gelatos to some of the papers or accents I have.

I prefer silver, brushed bronze or copper. Gold is not a favorite for me too. I was surprised to see much gold out in the stores.

I hate gold jewelry and accessories but I love it in scrapbook items for some reason. I think we will see the trend morphing into just metallics with more silver and copper being incorporated in the near future.

Don't worry, it will pass. I actually like the gold as accent embellishments. I love the SC gold heart embellishments and am thinking of buying the HS gold foil mini kit at M's. I'd totally be up for some silver if that starts to get popular.

Not a fan of gold either. Reminds me of my 70's childhood home with shag carpeting, harvest gold, advocado green, orange, and gold/brassy fixtures. BTDT  |

I don't like gold! (Well, not completely true, I would never turn down a gold necklace!) But I generally turn to "colder" colors like blue, white, grey and silvet, not only in scrapbooking but in clothes and decor too. Winter papers in those colors would make me a very happy scrapbooker!

Just last night I was using some MME paper, and it had silver accents,silver bow ties on one paper I had, some silver pieces in the die cut pack,and the pack of enamel dots had a row of silver dots on it. I remember it was the Now and Then collection,but not positive in what group... Izzy, I think?

I too prefer silver in jewelry & years ago when metallics were in chose silver over gold for my scrapbooks too. However, this time around, HS gold mist & some awesome gold, chunky glitter thickers got me hooked on gold. I am liking gold on my pages more right now than silver.

I have been sucked in to the gold trend but mostly because I love metallic anything, and it's SO HARD to find blue metallic. I have always liked SHINY!! things, but I've always loved (and worn) silver, so it took some time for me to get on the bandwagon. I'd love it if they'd come out with more metallic things in different colors (silver, blue, red, etc!). I've recently discovered Gold Leafing and have been using it on my Project Life cards..and the silver...and the copper.... I'm addicted. I wish THAT came in other colors, or at least gunmetal grey!

If you can get your hands on it, studio calico's brighton pier line has some silver in it silver star rub ons and silver thickers. And sc also has silver doilies.... i'm a big fan of silver acrylic paint and my silver neocolor lol |

I agree - we should have both - and copper! I love copper! I wonder what would happen if I tried to emboss silver over some of these gold accents? Is that like anti-matter science stuff?
